The tour was amazing! The bus was nice and the guide Cathy made it fun. The lunch was simple but gave us fuel for our hikes. The tour is essentially a drop off to Zion, we were told to meet back at the bus at a certain time, and let loose to go where we wanted. When we met back up the guide took us through some other stops along the way. 10/10 would recommend and do again in a heartbeat!
We are so happy to hear that you had an amazing experience with us! Thank you so much for your rating and kind words, it really means a lot to us. Please feel free to post/share any pictures of your adventure with us!
Zion is Tranquil and serene beyond description. Nature at its best . I visited Zion the first week of March and the weather was perfect! Imagine strolling along the riverbank surrounded by majestic canyons in vibrant shades of orange color while feeling the gentle cool breeze on your skin. Can’t ask for a better experience than that . It’s definitely a must do before you kick the bucket .
I had a great experience overall. Our driver and tourist guide John is very knowledgeable and made us all comfortable in our trip to Zion. Zion National Park is a must see place. I will recommend this tour!
Ok to simply put it, this is like a pick-up and drop service to the Zion NP and then you are on your own to explore the park for 6 hours (min)! There are no unnecessary stops in between Vegas and Zion. We had just 2 bathroom and gas filling stops. I was picked up by 5:40. The trip began at 6:30, a little late as a few passengers were not at the designated pick up point. Our driver Gary was really fun and knowledgeable. As we drove towards Zion, he gave a lot of info.
We were given food and snacks - a subway sandwich (was smaller than a 6") veggi options available, an apple juice, a chips packet and snack bar at Zion.
Once you are in the park you can do all the exploring of the 9 stops at the NP. You have enough time to do #6 - Upper emerald pool, Scouts Lookout (Angels was closed), #8 The Bend, #9 - Temple of Sinawawa just hiking along the river side. I didn't have time to do the narrows and also the gears.
You are to come back the parking spot within 6 hrs to be picked up again and dropped back in Vegas. Please keep in mind of the time zone change when you hit the park. Zion is 1 hr ahead as it is Mountain Time.
Zion park had amazing views. Bus was a bit late though tour company kindly called to say running late. Tour company provided helpful advcie on attire. Excellent value at 100 dollars (plus 20 expected tip) for long drive and lunch and water
This is a terrific location and a great way to spend the day. We selected a 6 hour self-guided tour and arrived at Zion at 11:30 AM (PDT). The shuttle system is free and allows easy, quick access to major sights and hiking trails. We had time for several easy-moderate hikes and visit all the major spots in the park. Our highlights were hiking to the Upper Emerald Pool (Lower was closed) and to the Narrows. 6 hours was just about right for the day. Alternatively, one could spend 4-5 hrs just to hike to Angel's Landing, but we'll save that for another day. This is a self-guided tour and is very easy to navigate and pick and choose sights based on the entrance map. Wildlife encountered: Mule deer, Ravens, and a baby Condor.
Regarding the bus: we were on a luxury tour bus with 16 other people who were going on to Bryce Canyon. We were dropped off at Zion and our driver, Dirk, was there right on time to pick us up. He was very pleasant, gave us good tips on Zion sights and gave some historical insights about Nevada, Las Vegas and Zion along the way. Trip takes about 3 hours each way from Las Vegas to Zion.
I highly recommend this trip and do the self guided tour. The only way to really experience the Park is to get out, walk and experience this natural wonder face to face. Makes us want to come back for more!
Booked my trip a little over a week in advance. You don't get your final pickup info until the day before (since you can cancel with just over 24 hours and get a refund).
Was picked up at one Hotel at about 6am, and switched vehicles at a different hotel. Ride out to Zion was quick and informative (our driver Jeff went over things such as Vegas history, history on the surrounding area, and about the land itself).
Once we got to Zion, Jeff gave us some info about the more popular areas and which ones were recommended. Also made sure to remind us to stay hydrated (even though it was cold out, you are still in the desert with minimal shade).
We had a little over 6 hours to explore the park on our own, but I was only able to hit 1 main trail due to how long it took me to do it (Angel's Landing). I could have possibly finished it sooner, but there are other people on the trail, and it is a pretty hard hike (better to go slow and stay alive).
Since I didn't have time to do another big hike, I spent my time around the museum and exploring smaller trails near the visitor center.
Drive back was pretty quick as well (as I passed out from being a bit exhausted).
Overall I would definitely go again if I was in the area. Zion is so big and there is so much to see and do that 1 day wasn't enough for all of it.
The tour company was one of the worst I have ever experienced. I called to confirm of the pick up and drop off times and they assured me we would be back in time for a later flight. I challenged them to just be super certain that we would be back in time... and they assured me that we would return home at 6 pm. They never sent a confirmation email like they said they would... I had to call again to know where to go for pick up (which they changed twice). The bus driver was extremely nice but you could tell he was so stressed with this company. They were unsure of the route, how long things would take, the food, etc. etc. The bus driver told us to wait for him at a location outside of Zion at 4:30 and he did not get there until 5:45 pm... so we spent over an hour waiting for him when we could have been exploring the park. When I called to complain to the company, they were completely rude and left a terrible taste in my experience. They promised that they would never say they would be back by 6pm (even though their same company assured me that they would be multiple times the night before) The bus has no bathroom, the information given was unclear and non informative, and the company itself was so unkind. Our bus driver was a wonderful man and was the only thing that made the trip... although it was also obvious that he was stressed from this company as well. I DO NOT recommend this tour company to anyone and would never travel with them again.
