Small group Grand Canyon Tour from Las Vegas

It's a long drive, but well worth the trip. If you have limited time to see the canyon, this is a great choice. Leave the driving through the desert to these experienced drivers. Included breakfast & lunch (nothing fancy but very adequate) stops at Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, nice IMAX film at the visitors center, and stops at 3 different viewing spots at the canyon. Our guide was very informative and kept everyone on schedule to maximize our time at each stop. Even showed a movie in the Mercedes Sprinter Van on the drive back to Vegas. All in all, a long, but fantastic day.

South Rim Bus Tour not Deluxe Tour

We participated South Rim Bus tour, but we didn't book this tour, we had booked Deluxe Tour that we didn't get. Gray Line Las Vegas handled the situation extremely bad. We'd booked deluxe tour, but that was cancelled and they tried to leave us on hotel and not to provide any tour at all. After 30 min waiting for scheduled pick up time nobody didn't come to pick us up from hotel. Grey Lien didn't give any information that they are not coming to pick up us. When I called them they said that my name isn't on any list. Finally I got them to send sent a new pick up bus. On their office I recognized that they had no tour for us at all and their aim was to leave us without tour by just leaving us at the hotel. On the office they gave us the option (they probably were not willing to do that at all) to join the normal bus tour and get some cash back. When we took the normal tour they were forced to buy other customers out from that tour - total mess. South rim was excellent but my advice is that do not book via the contractor that is using Gray Line as an operator in Las Vegas because Grey Line does not take care their customers.

It's too long of a trip. I knew this but for a first time visit. I thought it would be ok. The canyon is huge, that's why it is called grand and it would be best to be able to spend some additional time at each view point. Our guide/driver was great in getting us to the sites quickly and giving us some highlights but we ran out of time. We never did stop at the Hoover dam which is listed on the inclusions, not enough time. I would not recommend this unless you want to spend 10 hours or more in a van. The van was comfortable, kudos there or else this would get only 2 stars. I'll have to plan another visit to see what I missed but would not take this tour again.

Taylor, the pickup driver was on time, pleasant and making conversation considering its 6am. Gary, tour guide, very knowledgeable about area. He also provided dvd's for added information. He kept us in a good schedule so we can spend additional time viewing the Grand Canyon. We were looked after to make sure we were having a good time. The van can be a little more comfortable. For a long trip, less people should be in the ride. The single seat's safety belt was not working properly and I have to hold on tightly thru out the long ride.

Our trip to Grand Canyon South Rim was incredible. It is beyond compare. We saw lightning, fogs, rain, rainbows double rainbows. We saw animals on the road. People are very friendly. Our Bus Driver Gary is the most accommodating person we met. He ensured our personal needs were met. He is very knowledgeable about Grand Canyon and keep us entertain all the way even though we were caught in a major traffic jam. He took to various entrances of the canyon and ensured we took lots of pictures and absorbed the beauty of mother nature. We enjoyed this trip and would like to come back again.

Great tour.We left by around 7 30 am in the morning. The drive to south rim is well close to 5 hours. Our driver-guide Karen was awesome and made 4 stops for views - Mather Point, Angel point and a couple of others. We got home close to 10 pm. Lunch was provided as well as free water/sodas. Be aware though - that grayline picks people up in the morning, gathers at their office and then tours leave on differnet buses. We waited close to 1.5 hours there after our pickup at 6 am. The drivers and guides were gathered around but noone seemed to want to ask why it was so late, seemed fairly political. South rim is a very long drive from Vegas and the earlier you leave the better chances you have at getting back into Vegas before evening traffic. We were stuck another hour in the eveing in traffic as well and everyone was wiped when we got home. In short - do it if you have to and don't have a lot of time. We would probably take a two day trip if we have to go to south rim.

This was a super trip. We did the deluxe south rim tour with 9 people on the van. Everything was on schedule from our pickup at the casino, our meals, and the return. The narrative on the van was superb. The driver was very friendly and showed us a couple special places. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this trip. The views are awesome.
