The tour was great. However, the drivers screwed up twice. The first one was at the park when he went ahead to the next stop, Bright Angel Lodge, without telling anyone. A small group took the shuttle there, while the rest hiked the trail. We waited over an hour for them to arrive. The second time the driver screwed up was when the guide said that those that first got on the bus that morning would be the first to get off at the end of he trip. That did not happen.

Hello, Kevin! We appreciate your review of our service. We apologize if there's been a confusion and miscommunication during your tour experience with us. Passengers are always informed that the Bus will be picking everyone up at the Bright Angel Lodge after 3 hours at the end of the tour at the Grand Canyon. We also apologize if you were not dropped off first and how that had highly impacted a good experience. We look forward to having you again in one of our tours in the future so we could give you a much better service.

Disappointed

The grand canyon part of the trip was amazing. But 3 things on this tour wasn't. First thing is that when I called and booked it they said they would pick me up at my hotel. Which the day before I get a text telling me I would be picked up at a different hotel a block away. Sucks having to walk down to another hotel at 6:00 I'm the morning. Then on the description of the tour it says its in a luxury bus. It was a sprinter van. So there is 1 lie on the description of the tour. Then the 2nd lie it says you will visit the Hoover Dam. That never happened. When we were coming back that night and it was pitch dark we were on the highway across from the dam and you couldn't even see the dam it was so dark. I asked about a partial refund but they said there was nothing they could do. So you won't get the tour you pay for on this one.
icon Response from Host , Sep 2021
We apologize if the tour experience you've had is not what you have expected. We made sure to make it clear in our tour description that we don't have a stop at the Hoover Dam and we always make sure to inform our passengers when they are given a complimentary upgrade and transferred to the Sprinter with their full knowledge and confirmation. We understand you are frustrated for you are not granted the refund that you have requested but we're hoping for your kind understanding that you were not eligible for a refund. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review!

Was 2nd trip to the South Rim Grand Canyon. This tour took a walk around the South Rim. Just breathtaking views! Our guide was Jorge and driver Dawn. Both very professional and friendly. Long day, appropriate number of stops No better way to see the Rim! Pictures don’t do the Beauty of the canyon justice. You have to go to feel the beauty!

Book with another agency!

The driver/guide was knowledgeable and did a very good job. The experience overall was however not what we expected. I travelled with my son and we could not be together on the bus because a very large individual was taking almost two seats, so my son travelled in the front with the driver and I travelled in the back... so we could not enjoy things together for the 12 hours of travel. This was very disappointing! In addition, they called me the day before travel to say they couldn’t ho because the bus needed maintenance and they offered us to go the West side instead of the South. Then, an hour later they said the trip was still going but it was a small van instead of the larger bus. The seats were quite uncomfortable for a long day of travel. I won’t do anything again with Viator. Book with a different agency!

We appreciate your detailed review. We apologize if you were not able to sit with your son during the tour. We understand your frustration but we cannot discriminate our passengers. The reason why we offered the Van an hour later was to ensure that you still get the chance to see the Grand Canyon. We're hoping for your kind understanding for we only did what we can to make the tour happen.
