The trip was really good and nice. Our guide Eleni was really nice and exactly presenting everything with all details. You have the chance to see the "Ghost city" with the abandoned area and the touristic seaside area, which had an emotional impact, when thinking that in 1974 the greek people were running away because of the invasion...with the strong hope that someday they will come back...thing that never happened...We visited also the St. Barnabas Monastery and the Tomb, friend of St Pavel. In a word, it's worth seeing all this !

First of all Eleni our guide was excellent! Warm, friendly, knowledgeable and interesting! We are staying to the west of Larnaca so it was a very long day involving a public bus trip to Agia Napa where we picked up the coach for the trip. First stop Salamis - there is time only to get a feel for the place - long enough to whet the appetite for a return trip. This was followed by the exquisite Monastery of St Barnabas - worth the trip just on its own, highly recommend the freshly pressed pomegranate juice. The Famagusta Old Town and lunch, quick visit to local churches then on to the ‘Ghost Town’ this is also worth visiting in its own right. Deeply moving to see the abandoned houses, churches and hotels. We had our very young granddaughter with us who loved the attention she received and enjoyed the day as much as we did!

Excellent value day out

Very full day with Salamis, Famagusta and a church ending with a beach visit. The trip starts from Agia Napa but our guide met us at Larnaca where we had an empty public bus to take us to meet the tour coach, so no problem. Famagusta was very interesting, I would have preferred extra time at Salamis which is a huge site and drop the beach visit as beaches are not exactly hard to come by in Cypus. Eleni was fun as well as being very informative and clearly spoken.

A great time with lots to see

Had a wonderful time, got what i expected. Couple of improvements: Salamis is optional, but everybody in my group took it, because it makes no sense not to. Second, the beachtime is only one hour, and if i want to be on the beach, i would have got a beach hotel, if not then even the one hour takes away, would have preferred 1 extra hour in Famagusta instead, because we only had 2, due to Salamis visit, and we had to lunch and see the city. All in all we managed, and got what expected, great views, great monuments, good time. And yes, tour really starts from Agia Napa, but we got a nearly empty local bus to go there, and changed to a private coach bus from there, no big deal.

Southern adventure on ancient lands

Great experience. I am glad that I was at places, where mythical Greek heroes were walking. I have only one complaint - the trip was from Agia Nappa and this was not mentioned anywhere. From Larnaka to Agia Nappa we had to travel by the slowest village bus.
