The Hidden Kyoto E-Bike tour was great! We got to explore temples and shrines that we would not have otherwise gone to as well as the classic golden temple. It was great that the tickets were included in the price. Our guide (and owner) Ross was amazing, super nice, helpful, informative and an all around great tour guide! We would highly recommend this tour to everyone! (Also the biking was fun and easy!)

Lianca was an amazing tour guide, taking us through the back streets of Kyoto and giving us several options to customize the route. We visited some very cool spots and Lianca gave us the history of each and was able to answer all our questions. The e-bikes were amazing - shot uphill with ease! At the end, she emailed some highlights of our trip, including the names and locations of the places we visited - much appreciated! Highly recommend :)

This activity is terrific if you are fit and are used to riding a bike in a busy urban setting. My daughter was able to complete the tour without mishap but I had to sit out early on in the tour. The guide, Lianca, was very kind and helpful but the pace proved to be too challenging even for the seasoned cyclists in the group. The tour description says that the route is on quiet back streets but really, in Kyoto, that does not exist. There were local cyclists who wove in and out between pedestrians and car drivers without any warning. This caused some near misses among the tour group cyclists. Also, if you are very short, the bikes are much too big and unstable. The tour itself is informative and the tour guide, Lianca, was excellent in her knowledge of Japanese culture and customs. I think the tour description needs to emphasis that there are parts of the route that are quite challenging, like steep hills and that the cyclists need to be comfortable with urban cycling. If it had been a walking tour, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it.

My wife and I had one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Japan with Lianca. We got very lucky as it was only the 2 of us on the tour and we covered so much in 4 hours. Lianca's knowledge of Japan and Kyoto is amazing and I would highly recommend you taking the time out to do this tour!

Our guide Linca was very well informed Lady who gave us an interesting tour and insight into to Japanese life and culture. We toured the streets on our bicycles with great ease. This trip is suitable for all ages.(our group was 50yr to mid 60 year olds.)The weather was wet on the day but this did not stop us enjoying every minute . Bicycles were in good condition, helmets provided & rain jackets if needed .Linca had very good spoken english and she looked after us all very well. I am very happy to recommend this 3 hour tour. Thanks Linca.

If you have any time in Kyoto at all, and can fit this tour in, do not hesitate. Sean was so informative, kind and accommodating. The tour hits so many places you would never think to hit, and the biking through small, backstreets is so intimate and laid back. If your're not a confident biker, no worries, the pace is casual and the route keeps you off any major roadways. I can't rave enough about this tour. Easily the best money we spent in Kyoto.
