We got to the site and the tour host was nowhere to be found. We looked around for a bit and decided to just head in by ourselves and grab some of the brochures. There were English language brochures and between those simply walking around ourselves, we had an amazing time at the Golden Pavilion. We got several amazingly beautiful pictures and a few of our best tour-selfies came from this location as well. The location gets a 10/10 - would visit again! The tour gets a 0/10 - did not exist.

Choosing Golden Pavilion as a landmark to see was amazing, and having the tour guide really helped. We learned about the Pavilion, and Japanese culture. Worth it to learn more than just there to take pictures!
