Kuala Lumpur City Highlights Tour

Our guide David was excellent and made the tour even more worthwhile. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wanted to see the main highlights of KL

Good tour with an experienced guide. However, would have preferred less time at the retail outlets and more at the museum.

We were expecting to do the "KL City Highlights" tour - but instead the tour company told our guide we were on the "Batu Caves Cultural Tour" - problem is... we had just visited Batu Caves that morning. We even saw his paperwork from the tour company stating such. With such a mess up, I would normally rate 1/5 stars - so why 3 stars? Because our guide saved the day. Realizing that something was wrong when all 3 of us on the tour were shocked to be going out to Batu Caves, he adapted the tour and even ran it 90 minutes long so that we could get in some extra locations. Our guide was super friendly & obviously cared a lot about our experience to do this for us. He really saved the day. I cannot say for certain what the normal "KLCity Highlihgts Tour" includes as ours was a bit of a mix. That being said, I think these guides are contracted out by the various agencies and I'm not sure that everyone could always expect the same. It's concerning that the tour company gave him incorrect paperwork since they are the coordinators.

This was exactly what we wanted in an intro tour. We were taken to notable city locations, given enough time to take photos, and then moved on to the next location. We were also able to visit a terrific batik factory and watch experts produce wonderful works of art. Our transportation was comfortable and our guide was well informed. This tour was a very good value and I would recommend it for all first-time visitors to KL.

The tour itself is definitely worth it if it is your first time coming to KL and you want an introductory tour of the city. I recommend going on your first day here as the tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and even give you recommendations for places and things to do that aren't included in the tour. Customer service is extremely efficient as well. A special shout out to David, our tour guide, for his amazing service as he was extremely courteous and kind and for being an ultimate tour guide!

What a horrible tour. The information was limited and we were essentially brought from one tourist scam to the next. This is not a city tour it is a tour to tourist shops to encourage you to buy items. As soon as you get in each store they are shouting prices at you not giving you much background about the products. I couldn't wait for the tour to end. Would NOT recommend.

A whirlwind tour of some of the significant landmarks in KL. Worth the trip for getting your bearings to spend longer at chosen places later.

Our experience with Viator has always been 5-star in more than a dozen tours we took. This one is an exception. In this less than 3-hour trip, almost right at the beginning, we spent 20 minutes at a chocolate factory, and another 20 minutes at a batik factory the guide admitted these are for propaganda purposes. We were give only 30 minutes to visit National Museum which is in a main building with a few adjoining buildings. The guide had said he will walk us through the museum and explain Malaysia's history. But he stayed back in the bus. We strayed around not knowing how to get into the main building. It also needed a ticket which is normally included in the tour. In the end, none of about 20 tourists saw anything of the National Museum. Overall, it was a disappointment, particularly when you have only one day to see Kuala Lampur

Horrible. First problem was they would not pick me up at the KL Hilton even though it was on the list. I was forced to take a taxi in rush hour traffic to get to the main meeting point. The tour itself consisted of two shopping stops which had nothing to do with the tour. Tour director kickbacks.

Our guide was David. He picked us up from our hotel. There were 3 more guests doing this tour with us. He gave us enough time at each place to visit and take photos. Gave us enough information about each place. Tour was short but enough to know about the main historical places in KL. Also visited the Royal Selangor, which was a first for us. After the tour, David dropped us at Low Yat Plaza at our request. Tour and guide both recommended.
