How can I let you know where to pick me up?
We offer pick ups from some hotels. Let us know where you are staying in the 'Special Requirements' box in the Traveler Details section during checkout. Or you can let us know after booking by visiting 'Manage my Booking' and emailing us there.
This Auschwit-Birkenau experience is very humbling but well worth a visit. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave a very detailed insight in the lives of the people that were here. The Wieliczka Salt Mine was also great with an awful lot of steps. Again the tour guide was very knowledgeable and very amusing. I enjoyed the whole day immensely. P.S. There is a lift back up from the bottom of the mine!
Our driver Paul was helpful and informative on all aspects of our tour. It was a very moving experience for both myself and my wife. The tour through both camps was full of information about a very black moment in history. The salt mine was also worth the wait again guide very informative. Lunch was good.
When the booking was first placed we were expecting to be picked up at 7am. I was emailed the night before to be advised the pick up time would be 9.15pm which meant we it we were not back until 8,30pm that evening.
Mr shuttle met us at our Airb&b and walked a short distance to our mini coach. We made a few more stops to collect others, in total there was about 18 on our coach all being British . The coach was clean and comfortable and a video was played during our journey of approx 90mins.
We had time for a toilet stop and coffee before being received by our tour guide Joanna.
Joanna was exceptional, she was informative and delivered information in a sensitive and expressive manner. It made us feel that she was feeling the emotion with as at every moment. I would have like to spend about 15mins more exploring Birkenau as we didn't have a chance to view the memorial before were lead back to our coach. Inclusive lunch which was pleasant and catered for dietary requirements.
The salt mine was interesting, but we had no idea it would be a 3hour experience and we felt at times we were left an unnecessary amount of time by our guide throughout the duration of the tour. There were some outstanding sections and some very dull ones.
All in all a good trip.
The trip was very enlightening and informative. Our guide "Mike" was incredibly knowledgeable about the whole Holocaust and its horrors.
The Salt Mine tour was exciting however, the headsets they give you to hear your tour guide are in terrible condition and do not work very well. The headsets at Auschwitz worked extremely well. All in all it was a great experience.
We had a very memorable experience yesterday. Our tour guide Michal was excellent and gave a brilliant tour. We would highly recommend, being picked up and dropped back at your accommodation makes it so stress-free and relaxing. We were given so much information, the salt mines were very enjoyable also. The tour bus was very modern, you could charge your phone on-board.
A wonderful contrast of the darkest and most beautiful sides of humanity.

This was absolutely fantastic.
The morning was heartbreaking, and leaves you clearly wondering why, why, why. Not enjoyable but important.
Let’s be clear though the visit to Auschwitz is managed perfectly, the guide was lovely, if sombre (for clearly obvious reasons)
It constitutes with about 1 hour drive from hotel to the camp, with a harrowing documentary to set you up. At the camp, you have time to get ready, grab a coffee/water etc. The tour in Auschwitz 1 is about 1.25 hours. The headphones for the tour guide are excellent and allow for them to chat to you rather than shouting. Then there is further time to pause.
*cafes quite expensive for average coffee etc.
They then take you on a 5 minute ride to birkenau, again very insightful. You are probably there for about 30 mins.
There is a lot of walking on uneven ground here to wear comfortable shoes. Wrap up well also in the winter months.
Provided lunch is nice, we got a butter pastry sandwich thing, and a pasta tub with bottle of water and biscuit.
It is probably about an hours driving from there to the salt mines.
All in all a good if depressing morning. The salt mines however will blow you away with a contrast of bleakness of the human condition to the beauty.
It is STUNNING, go, go, go. The tour guide here was lovely, funny and energetic. Contrast to the morning but understandably so. The headphones here not as good as the morning but less required.
There are cafes here, gift shops and the value for money is MUCH, MUCH better than Auschwitz. The gift shop is great also and good value.
Again a lot of walking and over 200 steps to walk down. So wear those shoes.
The driver of the bus was lovely. The bus was a bit tight but sufficient. And the return journey was probably about 30 minutes.
All in all we loved it, but it is a long and tiring day. We went out for dinner after but slept a LOT thereafter and into the next day.
