The tour was very good. We had a nice woman guiding us through the two camps and showing us all the things that the museums had to offer. The driver was friendly he picked us and left us at our designeted spot.

Our guide was very informative. Really knew her stuff. She took time to answer lots of questions. It was very well organised from the pick up to drop off. Very sad though to think what went on.

Watched a video on the way there which made you realise the extent of suffering that was inflicted on these people. It prepared you for the actual camp Well organised not as busy as I expected. About 1 1/2 from Kraków the guides are very knowledgeable

Everyone should visit to pay their respects and appreciate how lucky we really are. What went on there was barbaric.

Our guide was very respectful, explained everything with compompasion and empathy for every victim, her voice was compelling to hear her telling of the awful treatment that occured at both camps.

Overview, Worth to know, Useful tips

OVERVIEW: It's a place definitely worth visiting with a guide. Our guide was really great and very knowledgeable. Pick up was on time. You get a set of headphones connected to guide's microphone so you can hear everything she/he says without a problem. I have a hearing impairment and managed to hear every single word she said. It also feels respectful to the place (i.e. no shouting by different guides etc). WORTH KNOWING: I thought I'm booking a trip of 8 people, but it's only transfer of 8 people. You later join a bigger group (about 25 of us) to walk around the camps. I really wanted to avoid going in a big group, that's why I chose this tour. So was a bit disappointed that the description is not exactly pointing that out. If we wouldn't be provided with headphones, I would definitely struggle to hear. I didn't see any small groups walking around, just large groups like mine or individual people without a guide. But it's all organised very well and the guides are the official Auschwitz guides and historians. USEFUL TIPS: Wrap up if you go in the winter months! Its absolutely freezing! Also, make sure you pack your lunch and some drinks since the cafe there is extremely expensive (10zl for a KtiKat, 17zl for a drink, which is about 3x the regular price). I went to a local bakery in Krakow in the morning to grab us some fresh sandwiches. We left the food in the car to have it during the break between Auschwitz I and II.

Good experience. Well organised. Picked up in time. Guide at the camps was good and interesting. Not sure if I would buy the packed lunch again as cold sandwiches and fruit are not my thing. I’d probably buy from the kiosk in the morning break or take my own.
