Great tour, but don't book on Viator
Didzis

We really enjoyed the tour - it's informative and well organized. We were part of a small group (<10ppl), guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Do not book this tour on Viator, without checking the provider's website - they often have steep discounts (e.g. 50% or more), for the same tour. I'm leaving out a star, as the direct purchase discounts are set up in a way that don't allow to use the Viator's "best price guaranteed" offer. While the tour experience was great, the pricing discrepancy gives a bitter taste.

Moving and informative

An informative and moving visit to Auschwitz. The guide was very knowledgable and communicated well. She was very aware and sensitive of the diversity in the group that impacted on mobility, Only negative was that doing the tour felt like we missed out on some exhibits, due to the time constraints.

There are loads of trips to Auschwitz to choose from. Our tour guide was fantastic and this trip included travel to and from and Auschwitz and Birkenau. We felt very looked after and included everything you would expect, tour guide's knowledge was exceptional.

The trip was planned well but alot of walking involved so thank god the weather was good... The talking guide was a little boring at times but having headphones so we could hear her was a great idea so we didn't miss any information given. Great trip overall. Its worth doing.

Auschwitz is a reminder to all of us to challenge extremism and ideologies that foster hatred towards our fellow humans. A sombre but thought provoking atmosphere. A must see for all!

Brilliant tour would highly recommend very good value for money our guide was very informative and helpful with any questions we had all I would recommend is that a little more information is given regarding how much walking is involved it wasn’t a problem for myself but I could see others struggling but overall an amazing experience thank you

This was a well organised and informative tour. The guide was respectful, and made the experience, although harrowing to hear about and see the sites firsthand, well worth the visit.

Great tour guide/ TERRIBLE, unsafe driver
Jennifer_M
, Mar 2020
The tour guide at Auschwitz/Birkenau was great. I always love all tours I book through Viator. The reason I am only giving this a 3 star is the driver who took us to and from was TERRIBLE. He kept falling asleep while he was driving. Literally he almost ran off the road and in to on coming traffic. I finally said something to him and I was so mad as there were 20 people on the buss including a small child. I am sorry Viator but you need to be really looking at the tour companies you hire and the drivers they choose. This is the 2nd tour that the driver was dangerous. And I have been to Europe a lot and know how people drive. Falling asleep at the wheel is NOT ok.

Hi Jennifer, I am glad to read that the tour guide and your visit was fulfilling. At the same time, I understand the frustration with the driver and I want to apologize for the experience during the driver to the museum. We will investigate the situation as safety during excursions is our top priority for our tourists. Best regards,
