Koh Samui Island Half-Day Tour

We booked this trip in June for 20th Aug18. We read the reviews and thought it would give us a good taste and some information about Koh Samui. We were picked up and taken in a mini bus without a Guide. It later transpired that the other people on the mini bus a German and a Dutch family had booked the trip with a different company and the trip was following the itinerary they were expecting and they had a leaflet so they knew where we were going to next. At each stop there were about 6 or 7 mini busses but only about 4 guides with limited english. One of them had a badge saying Trainee. However, at each stop one of the Guides came over to our mini bus and said how long we had there - no information about what we were looking or where we were going to next. The leaflet and the website advertises this trip for 650 Baht and the other travellers confirmed they had paid 650 Baht ie just under 15 each. The sights were lovely and the trip was probably worth 15, but for us it was very frustrating not knowing what we were looking at or where we were going next and was definitely not worth the 32.29 each we paid.

My partner and I wanted a half day tour that would give us a good feel for the island and allow us to cover most of the tourist attractions with little effort this tour was perfect for us. We were picked up at our hotel at 8:15am and dropped off at around 1pm. Pacing was great, our guide Mr Wang was entertaining and knowledgeable, and the van was cool, comfortable and clean. We were fortunate enough to be the only guests on the tour as it was low season in Koh Samui, so that made the tour even more enjoyable!

guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the island. gave just the right amount of time at each stop.

This tour was great-guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and picked up up promptly at our hotel. We got to see grandmother/father rock and had the best coconut ice cream ever, saw how monkeys get coconuts so cool, the ao nang falls and fed elephants, and the golden Buddha. Would def recommend!

We did this tour while touring around Thailand... the first half was amazing! We saw the monkey show, beautiful beaches and also the waterfall with the elephants. The second half was a little dragged out, we stopped at the Nathon town for about an hour, which wasn't really needed and then travelled about 45 mins across the island to see the Big Buddha. It would have been much better just to stop after the waterfall. However, the girl we had as a tour guide was lovely and her English was also extremely good!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accomodating. It was personalized just for us!

Booked this as it was a half-day tour - not!! Picked up at 8.30 and taken to their tourist depot where we sat thru an Elephant show, a monkey show and then a Thai kick box show......then our tour started!!! Got to the lookout, the rocks, Monk, waterfall and at 3.00pm we asked if could stop for lunch, then onto Nathon never went to the Monkeys with the coconuts...got back to our hotel at 5.00pm..The guide was lovely and spoke well but day was way way to long
