Our guide Bryan was fantastic. The falls were fabulous and definitely worth the kayak and hike to get there. Would recommend wearing the proper footwear for hiking and crossing water.

Diana, we are very sorry you were unable to come on our tour and enjoy the river with us. We operate rain or shine as Wailua river is a rainforest but unfortunately we must cancel the tours by state law during flash flood watches or when the trip is unsafe with unforcasted flooding. As life long residents of Wailua, we pride ourselves on expertly reading the highly unpredictable weather and assessing the safety of the area very well. We know how much people loath having their trips canceled due to weather and believe me- we don’t want to cancel trips either. However, we consider safety to be our top priority. Please reach out to us on a future trip to Kauai; we will really love the opportunity to show you the tour we take pride in providing. Aloha
The waterfall is worth the work!!

Loved this tour! Kayak two miles on a beautiful river and then hike 2 miles through jungle to a stunning waterfall. Both are very do-able, with a few water crossings and some rocky areas on the hike, but mostly flat terrain. Our guide, Brian, was fantastic - he provided history about the river, the waterfall, the plants and birds, and was diligent about keeping the group safe. Highly recommend!
Excellent adventure. Brian, our guide was fantastic!

Great day - kayaking, crossing rivers and streams in the water, hiking through jungle like grasses and forest and over rocky patches. The waterfall is spectacular and we’ll worth the effort to get there and back. Brian, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic! He made the the journey so much fun!

“Hawaiian Brian” was an awesome tour guide.Fun information about the plants and Hawaiian history. We took our time and enjoyed the terrain. From some reviews I thought that it would be harder but that being said it was slippery in spots. Don’t forget to wear good shoes!

Great kayaking and hiking.....terrible guide.

The kayaking and hiking were great, but the guide (Mike) was perhaps the worst guide we've ever had. First of all, he was late for the tour, and when he finally did arrive, he didn't offer an apology to the group or even an acknowledgement that he was late. He did make an announcement that he would be the "group photographer" for our trip. More on that later. Once we'd paddled to the trail and started hiking, Mike would randomly point things out to the first couple of people behind him, but the balance of the group (12 in total) couldn't hear a thing. He did stop twice and wait for the entire group to assemble before talking, but for the most part, only the two people behind him heard anything. Once we arrived at the waterfall, Mike hiked up the hill to have lunch with other guides. Although he'd promised to reunite with our group once he was finished eating, he never did. Instead, he sat at a distance and chatted with friends. When we asked later what photos he'd gotten of us at the waterfall, he responded, "I didn't take any photos. No one asked me to." When it was time to leave the waterfall area, he told our group of four to just "go ahead". We hiked on our own all the way back to the kayaks. (Thankfully a guide from another company helped us when we took a wrong turn on the trail.) Mike showed up at the kayaks, but after we got on the river to return to the marina, we never saw him again. A guide from a different company helped us get our kayak out of the water. Throughout our trip, we saw other groups who had booked with different companies. Those guides were engaged and making a real effort to enhance the experience for their groups. I sure wish we'd chosen a different company.

Great day in nature
, Apr 2022
Wonderful trip and our guide Brian was great. The hike has some challenging bits if you’re not too steady and you will get wet to your knees so bring the right shoes for walking and getting fully submerged. There is no food or water provided so make sure to bring something. Unfortunately Brian had to change his normal schedule because someone in our group had dinner reservations so we got there with the mobs of other tours and it was crowded at the falls. Great day out!
Tour guide of the Year

Brian is an excellent tour guide. He has a unique gift with the Flora and fauna Of Kawai. He is conscious of safety and he even sings Along the way. I appreciate his attention to detail and that he brought us safely there and back.
Action Adventure
, Apr 2022
Fun morning with a nice balance of the kayak trip, hike and swim at the falls. The action kept our girls (ages 11 & 13) engaged and they had no issues keeping up. Having visited the island many times, this felt totally unique - Highly recommend!
