The tour guide, Joaquin, had excellent knowledge of the plant life and historical facts of the area. It was very refreshing to interact with a Spanish speaking guide. Mahalo.

Beautiful hike and kayak trip.

The trip was beautiful and our guide Rob was very friendly, and had some great info about the plants along the trail. The hike had some challenging areas, but wasn't too difficult. Worth it to see the waterfall. Had a great time. Bring good shoes.

Fantastic!! Both my husband and I loved it! Alfredo was a great guide - very informative, high energy and fun. You could feel that he loves what he does. The waterfall was simply beautiful. The hike was not strenuous at all but very slippery on parts of the trail and when crossing water. Wear solid shoes. Some members of our group wore water shoes and fell/slipped multiple times. The kayak back was a little harder because we kayaked against the wind. Overall it is so worth taking this tour!

Wailua River/Hidden Falls Kayak tour
, Feb 2020
My husband and I enjoyed an adventure-filled day of paddling and hiking with Duke’s kayak tours, paddling 4 miles (total) on the Wailua River, then hiking a 3 mile loop to the Hidden Falls and back to our kayaks. We got to splash in the pool of cold water beneath the falls & meet our guide’s many forest friends, and hear lots of legends and stories. Brian was a blast! My only complaint is that we booked the tour through Viator, and found out we paid $20 more per person than others who simply picked up a brochure at the airport and called the number. For the same tour, this didn’t seem reasonable. Next time we’ll do our homework, and not simply through an online agent.
