Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Splash into the watery wonders of Hanalei River and Hanalei Bay as you explore some of Kauai’s most picturesque landscapes. Meet your local guide at the departure point near the Hanalei River, and then hop aboard a double kayak and begin your leisurely paddle downriver. Along the way, soak in the peaceful atmosphere and passing scenery of taro fields and tropical forests.

After approximately 45 minutes of kayaking, disembark on the shores of beautiful Hanalei Bay and recharge with a snack break. Admire spectacular views of the bay, made famous by the 1958 film South Pacific, and learn about ancient Hawaiian fire-throwing ceremonies conducted from the dramatic Makana Peak.

Slip on a snorkeling mask and fins, and then dive into the warm turquoise waters of Hanalei’s Bay Reef Lagoon. Explore underwater reef formations and be on the lookout for Hawaiian marine life such as brilliant tropical fish and sea turtles. You’ll also have a chance to ride the gentle waves of the bay on a sea kayak if you like. Finish your 5-hour tour with another short kayak ride and a drive back to the original departure point.

Great trip
Brieanna_V

We saw so many sea turtles on the snorkeling portion of our trip! The kayaking portion through the river offered a great view of mountains.

Aloha Brieann..., Seeing turtles is a good omen; that is the company logo; we are slow but we safely get back. Glad you enjoyed the combo of ocean and the beautiful panorama that surrounds Hanalei. Take care...and keep looking for turtles. Micco

Aloha Latisha, "Outstanding 10"...I guess we can't do better than that! I always thought our excellent guides as kind of "odd"...but funny I don't know. Seriously thanks for taking the time to share and letting us know we are doing a good job. One has to keep our sense of humor and perspective during these strange times and glad that our guides were able to bring in a little sunshine in the storm. Stay well, active and outdoors. A hui hou, Micco

My daughter and I were so happy to book this tour! It started with us kayaking up the river and we saw several beautiful sites and even a giant sea turtle! Our guides were awesome to notice it for us. Then we kayaked to a beach where we snorkeled and had a great lunch! The fresh sliced pineapple was amazing! Thank you so much!

Fun on North e d of Kauai
JudyP

Web is a lot of fun and patient, Lunch was good, very nice equipment. Went to a good place for snorkeling and swimming g even though we came in early March and the water was rough at most beaches- Web knew where to take a bunch of people not experienced with ocean as he is. The trip up Hanalei river was peaceful, pretty and very enjoyable. Water drinks and assistance was always available. For someone who kayaks at home in a lake it was a little worrisome to go into the ocean, but Web kept us safe and in a part of Hanalei bay that was very quiet at mouth of Hanalei Bay and Hanalei River. As someone with severe knee injuries I was a little concerned but it was not an issue with Web! Great company great guide

Aloha Judy, Being Web's favorite Uncle I am fond of and flatter myself that he learned everything from me! Seriously Web is one of our Ace guides who manages to inform while not loosing his sense of fun while keeping groups safe on the river and especially out on the ocean. Thanks for sharing and glad you enjoyed the beauty of the Hanalei environs both under water and above. Thanks for sharing. A hui hou, Micco *Many a practiced paddler does so, because often they suffer from chronic knee problems. They say old mountaineers as they age...many of them end up paddling.

Guides, Dan and Steve, were very patient with us being new to kayaking. Snorkeling was amazing. We were able to explore the coral reefs with instruction from Dan on where to go and where not to go. Would highly recommend to anyone.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our afternoon kayaking and snorkeling at Hanalei Bay. We learned so much about the island from our tour guides Josh & J. We saw tons of fish snorkeling and even saw a sea turtle while kayaking! It was a super relaxing day and one of our favorites. Thank you Josh & J! Terri & Julia

Absolutely enjoyed our kayaking and snorkeling trip. Our tour guide, Mike, was extremely educated about the island of Kauai. We saw an abundance of fish and the reef was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and hope to be able to do it again!
