The tour to nowhere
J Scott S

I have taken Viator tours on 5 continents and enjoyed nearly every one of them, but this tour was a complete waste of time and money. All we did was walk around seeing poverty and neglect. The temple was being rebuilt after the last major earthquake, but even pictures of it in its glory days weren't anything nearly as nice as other temples in and around Kathmandu. The guide was a strange little man who would stop for several minutes for whatever reason and not say one word. He didn't talk about much at all except how unhappy married people must be. Ridiculous. Viator should take this tour off their offerings.

I had a great guide called Joshi.Well informed and spoke fluent English. It was very interesting seeing the villages being rebuilt from next to nothing. Also, it was very heart warming no one asked me for money. which of course i gave. It's a fair amount of walking over bricks, so make sure you have the right footwear. i just did half a day, for me it was enough. If you have a few days in Katmandu I highly recommend this tour.

Was highly dissappointed with my tour guide for this excursion. A great morning trip to get out of the hustle of Kathmandu city, the villages are definitely worth seeing - but needs an experienced and enthusiastic tour guide willing to share knowledge on the local areas.
