Day 1: Istanbul -- Gallipoli -- Çanakkale (D)Meet your guide and settle into your comfortable transportation, as you depart from Istanbul and head toward Gallipoli. Here, follow your guide to the battlefields where they will explain the relevant war history of this compelling region. Stop by Anzac Cove, the Nek, as well as Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials. Walk the lengths of the World War I era tunnels and trenches in this historic region.

At the end of the day, you will be transported to your hotel in the postcard seaside town, Çanakkale.

Day 2: Çanakkale – Troy -- Pergamum -- Kusadasi (B, D)Savor breakfast at your hotel in the morning, then freshen up for another full day of sightseeing. Turn back the hands of time when you arrive in Troy. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains fascinating Greek and Turkish history that your guide will gladly explain to you.

Next, venture to the ancient Greek city of Pergamum. Marvel at this ancient Greek citadel, as you’ll have time to explore the grounds. Peruse the temples, library, ruins and old political and cultural centers.

Before sunset, check in to your comfortable Kusadasi hotel.

Day 3: Kusadasi -- Ephesus -- Kusadasi (B, D)Once you’ve enjoyed your hotel breakfast, venture to Ephesus for an immersive day trip to this interesting ancient city. Learn about the Romans who once ruled this region, and walk among Roman thought-provoking ruins. Admire one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis.

Refuel with lunch, then take your time learning about the art of Turkish carpets, one of the country’s most prided crafts, at a nearby village. Then, enjoy the ride back to your Kusadasi hotel in time for dinner.

Bring your swim suit for a dip in the hot springs, if you wish. Back in the Roman times, they were utilized for therapy. Journey back to Pamukkale and settle into your hotel. Enjoy dinner in the evening.

Overnight: 5-star Colossae hotel or similar in Pamukkale

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable and personable guide. We were a small group of 11 people from almost all parts of the world and bonded well with each other. Only regret that the tour was only 5 days! Highly recommended.

the sights were great. galliopli was the best. to stand their at the historic battlefield i was honored. troy was awesome as well. wasn't as big as i thought it was. Kusadasi is a great place town to go and have a lot of fun. it's like a resort town, right by the beach. pregamum had the best view. love the natural white mountain and little waterfalls that you can walk down. every site had a ancient theater. no matter what. the thing i didn't like was the tourist traps shops . i didn't like all that shopping. don't get me wrong all those shops had some good products, but they we''re expensive. it expect it to be part of the tour. jewelery, ceramtics, jackets coats that are made of leather. they're all good, but cost a lot. our tour guide was great and the driver was also great. I highly recommend Aran as a tour guide.

Really enjoyed our tour! Plus it was a great value. Ahmet, our tour guide, was great : The places we saw were fantastic! We took someone's advice from a previous review about flying back to Istanbul instead of taking the bus back because it was mostly a travel day, like 9-10 hours, and we're glad we did. Got a cheap flight and got another full day in Istanbul. Definitely recommend this tour. Rebecca R,

What a wonderful tour. Our guide Khan was so passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Turkey and it made the tour really meaningful. He had some wonderful stories and made all feel very comfortable. Our hotels were well appointed and clean and we had time to explore on our own. Country Turkey was beautiful and the people so accommodating and friendly. Highlights were Gallipoli and the Travertine Terraces.

Rich historic sites: Troy, Ephesus and Hierapolis. The guide was very knowledgeable. Gallipoli is of interest to those with an interest in the Second War history. The views are beautiful. Hierapolis if you are really interested in the history it is difficult to cover the 8km and the calcium terrace especially on a blazing hot day. It would be worthwhile to take the motor bike. No helmet! When excavation/restoration are completed on this site it will be stunning. Lots of driving in a comfortable van. It is really a four day tour the fifth is mostly driving back to Istanbul. Given the value of time an option may be to spend the day exploring and fly back to Istanbul in the evening.

It's very difficult to put in to words how amazing this tour was. From Gallipoli to Pamukkale, every single moment was sensational. The in depth discussions about every place visited to the food we were eating at each stop was great. Charma sp? the guide was out of this world awesome and incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Turkey. I highly highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see the awesome sites of Turkey, but definitely look at going for the 7 day tour to get even more.
