After being extremely punctual a rarity...

After being extremely punctual a rarity in any latinamerican country we headed towards the San Juan district where we boarded our boat and proceeded to the Pacaya Samiria reserve. about 2 hour ride After arriving and registering to the local authorities of our arrival we went straight into the reserve, by boat and proceeded to navigate around. Unfortunately, we didn't see much nature at all, there were a few kinds of birds around, and a couple turtles along the way, but nothing else. I'm not sure if it was the warm weather, the noise made by the boat, or the time of year, but there were no other animal sightings. After a while we stopped for luch along the river, however things did went off a little. Lunch consisted of an avocado and tomato sandwich, which is not a great combination, specially if the sandwich was prepared a few hours before and therefore the bread was soggy. Finally, we went back to the San Juan district for the ride back, where we boarded a taxi for our return it is unusual to have a car in Iquitos, so the experience was a little inconsistent.
