Returns to original departure point
Meet a driver at a central location in Inverness, then board a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach for the 70-mile (112-km) trip to Eilean Donan Castle. Drive past the famous Loch Ness—home of the legendary monster—and pause for a photo opportunity before arriving at the castle. Enjoy ample time to visit the castle, which dominates a tiny, tidal island at the confluence of three lochs (entrance fees own expense, roughly £7.50).

From Eilean Donan, continue to the Isle of Skye over the Skye Bridge, which commands sweeping views of the Inner Hebrides. Drive into the mountainous heart of the island, then stretch your legs at the harbor town of Portree, where you have a break for lunch.

The afternoon is all about exploring the superb Trotternish Peninsula, visiting a series of the area’s scenic highlights, including The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing, a landslide on the eastern side of Meall na Suiramach.

Take the return trip to the mainland, passing the majestic Glen Shiel, Loch Clunie, and the Great Glen along the way. Conclude the tour at the original departure point in Inverness.

Most beautiful Tour. Emily has been a fantastic Guide, telling us all about the Clans, Fairytails and everything else you need to know about Scotland and the beautiful Isle of Skye. It was a amazing trip and I recommend it to anyone! You could tell Emily really cared that we all had a great time on this tour and the photo stops we made and places we saw were absolutely stunning.

Breathtaking Natural Beauty of my Country, Scotland

So after my original tour operator cancelled on me last minute, Viator was so helpful and was able to book me on the tour with another operator (original tour was not through Viator). This tour was breathtaking. It made me fall in love with my Country all over again. I forgot what natural beauty was on my doorstep. The guide Willie was brilliant. Really well knowledged and told me things I had no idea about. I won't spoil it for you's! 😂 I would definitely recommend this tour, and recommend Rabbies, the tour operator. I needed this break, like I'm sure a lot of other people needs time away, and I thoroughly recommend this.

It was an amazing experience! Our guide Jim MacLeod was really nice, he told us many different stories and facts about the history and the highland culture along the way. The bad thing is that we can't stay for too long in the places we stop to enjoy them better. The good thing is that you get to see many of the stunning places in Skye in just one day! It's a great option for a first visit to the Ilse, and then if you want to come back again you already know where to go. I loved it!

This tour is really worth your time and money. I’d say our enjoyment was definitely based on our guide, her knowledge, passion and ability to spin a good yarn. We went with Rabbie’s, and our guide was Emily. She was without doubt, exceptional! Even coming from Scotland we learnt a massive amount about the region, the culture and the history. Emily made it real and enjoyable, (I almost cried twice). Bare in mind, this is Skye, so be prepared for mist, wind and rain as well sunny spells. Good shoes and waterproofs is the order of the day. Excellent!!

My sister and I had a fantastic day trip with our friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable guide Kevin. With a smaller tour, we felt we had a wonderfully personal experience, a friendly group, and were able to move around and see the many beautiful sights throughout Skye. We would highly recommend this tour to others who are looking to explore Skye!
