Loch Ness - Monster not included
, Jun 2019
This was a great half day tour, starting with an on time departure from the bus station, followed by cruise to Urqhart Castle. We had a singing tour guide on the boat, most entertaining. The views and sights were most interesting.
A little disappointing
, May 2019
The tour just wasn't what we expected. It wasn't a bad tour, but left feeling like we were missing something. The tour started 15 minutes late which reduced our time at the castle and was never acknowledged by the tour. The castle was amazing but just not enough time since we started so late. The focus of the cruise/tour is completely on history with really no discussion of folklore of Nessie. The Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition focuses on science and only gives you one perspective on the existence of the Loch Ness monster.
Great trip

Fantastic tour!

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Alan was both entertaining and very knowledgeable. As a general rule we don’t care for bus tours and we were actually sorry to see this one end.
Simply amazing

If you are into amazing scenery and a bit of history then this is a must see location, our tour guide/driver Allan was very friendly with a great sense of humour and he made the trip even more unforgettable with his commentary. There was also a nice suprise when we left the Loch Ness Centre.
We enjoyed the tour and our guide...

We enjoyed the tour and our guide Alan was fantastic. The only thing we'd change is the short length of time at Urquhart Castle. Even 15 additional minutes would have meant a less frenetic pace to see it all and have some time to go through the gift shop or even just pause for five minutes to take it all in.
Terrible driver & tour guide Ian from Jacobite tours
, Jul 2018
Tour Jacobite and driver Ian very rude and acts of discrimination endured by family and I! Totally disgusting and highly unprofessional behaviour from this rude man. This tour driver Ian made comments to us about getting a new time piece even though he was late, held us back to wait 10 mins to get into the exhibition centre and another 5 to line up because we were now last in line. Then once the tour ended, he proceeds to talk down to us saying we were late even though he was late and kept us back to last then did not let us board the bus as he was talking to other passengers on the bus so made us wait (and we were on time from the castle tour). Had to endure his blatant rude attitude toward my family, told my husband he could not take his bag on board but didn't stop anyone else. Then we had to endure his tyrants about his marriage and how much his wedding cost for over 5 minutes! This man clearly does not know how to deal with members of the public who are of different ethicity. Classless and tasteless is the best way to describe my experience with Jacobite tours and driver Ian. Will never recommend to anyone I know!!!
Highs and lows in the Highlands
, Jul 2018
Two events reached the pinnacle: our brief cruise on Loch Ness aboard the Jacobite Warrior (very memorable) and the self tour of Urquhart Castle (a very beautiful and evocative location). Our bus driver/guide was less than impressive, rather patronizing, and offered his 'patter' and 'jokes', with little spontaneity or connection with the visitors. The Loch Ness Centre was not my cup of tea-a disappointment.
