Biggest line ever

I wouldn’t rate this attraction at all. The line took an hour and a half for the tour, and then there was another line that took another half hour later on the tour! Terrible, we wished we hadn’t gone

The tour of the NASA facilities was impressive however more impressive was the assistance of one of the tour guide team. I lost my beloved cap during one of the tour rides. Reid was very kind and was able to radio to other team members who found and returned the cap. The cap has significant emotional attachment. Thank you Reid. Job well done

History and future in some great exhibits

The Space Centre in Houston is an amazing place, even if you're not particularly interested in space travel. What NASA has achieved over the years is incredible and the centre shows off the history and future in some great exhibits. The indoor environment is very comfortable with plenty of space, good lighting that highlights the exciting content and is a comfortable temperature (unlike the heat of outside). Being able to explore the Independence shuttle mounted on the carrier aircraft was particularly impressive. Sadly because of Tropical Storm Imelda the tram tour was cancelled so to miss the Astronaut Training Facility and Mission Control Center Tour was hugely disappointing but out of everyone's control. NASA did arrange a very interesting presentation on disaster contingency and the centre entry fee was reduced on the day, although because I had purchased an advanced ticket through Viator, I paid full price. I enjoyed my visit and I'm sure with the tram tour, a day at the Space Centre would be even better.

We wasted over an hour in the tram tour line that had only 2 stops on the tour. The passenger loading process was very poorly designed. The individual trams held 4 passenger seating. The guests were forced into a single line that terminated at the tractor front end. The people walked passed and loaded each tram to fill the empty seats. The park staff then walked back and forth trying to fill individual seats. The loading process should be handled by lines of people that are already waiting at the individual tram. The people will have organized themselves knowing the tram had four seats for each row. I think Disney uses this method. Next: the quick food dining experience needs to be refreshed. There were not enough trash cans for non-recycle trash. The club sandwich the I ordered at the counter was almost tasteless. I asked for all the toppings except jalapeños. I received: bread, two tomatoes. Slice bacon and turkey with lettuce. I wanted olives, onions and pickles to add some flavor. No oil/ inegar or mayo. Next. The 20 minute show where a staff member explains the living conditions and methods of dealing with no gravity was very good. I only wish that the area in front of the stage had some sound barrier so that the crowd noise would be less.

Had a great time with my 16 year old grandson, the only disappointing aspect of our visit was the extremely heavy rain that closed the outside activities for the day - hence the overall rating. Would still highly recommend to fellow travelers.

At 80, I've been around a few years. I voted for Kennedy in 1960, I watched the Space program grow. The tour was on my bucket list & didn't disappoint!
