Vanessa was fantastic guide! I do think more time should be spent in the tunnel since it is advertised a underground tunnel food tour but would do any tour if Vanessa was the guide.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We will be sure to pass on your compliments to your guide. Our food tour is advertised as a downtown tour with tunnel access.
Currently three restaurants are visited on tour and one third of the time is spent in the tunnel including exploring the tunnel and eating below ground. We are the only company to have access to the tunnel after hours and on the weeks for this tour. Like mentioned on tour the tunnel system is only open for a certain period of time and that is why the whole tour cannot take place below ground.
Our highly rated Downtown Houston Tunnel Tour does take place purely in the tunnel (with some outdoor views) and might be the best option for those wanting to be mainly in the tunnel.

We are extremely disappointed to hear that you did not have a 5 star experience. Your tour guide had warned us right after your tour that you and your guest were in a foul mood and to expect a low rated review.
This tour has been in operation for 3 years and this is the first time we receive a compliant over the food. We did however reach out to every single guest that was on tour that night and not one of them had anything negative to say about the plates.
While we know that we cannot please everyone we would appreciate if you could reach out to us directly at astrovilletours@gmail.com to further resolve this.

Vanessa’s enthusiasm and love for the city is infectious!! We live in Houston and I wanted something different to do for date night. Learned so much! The food was incredible. For someone who wasn’t a fan of the city.. I came away liking it and being excited about what it has to offer. Vanessa is the best!!

Girls trip to Houston and decided to do a food tour for the first time. We could not have picked a more perfect one. Vanessa, our tour guide was fabulous! She was very knowledgeable, passionate and takes great photographs! She worked so hard to make everything perfect. From booking the tickets to before contact info she was amazing. The food was delicious! Access to the underground tunnels was really cool. Great girls night out, date night etc. I would highly recommend.

This was the Valentine's gift for my husband. We discovered a similar tour while in New Orleans and now after this one, we've decided this is our favorite way to see a new city! The food was amazing and we left super full! The tour guide did an excellent job of pacing the tour and sharing interesting info about the city and the food!
