The track concludes at the remarkable rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. Continuing our journey, we arrive at the Port Arthur Historic Site. A Fabulous Day!

First of all, Nick our driver was brilliant. He was a wealth of knowledge which he shared during the day. The cliff top walk with spectacular views was great. Port Arthur was a truly beautiful, but sobering, experience. The guided tour with Jake provided the historical background and pointed out not-to-be-missed buildings which I happily explored on my own. Allowing at least four hours, which this tour does, was perfect. This is excellent value for money which I highly recommend.

Our driver and guide Clinton was such a great asset to the tour. His knowledge of the history and the area was a great way to learn about where and what we were seeing. His amusing stories were fun and he made sure we were all happy and enjoying our time on the bus. Our itinerary was good and even though the day was long - it was worth doing.

Guide picked us up with small delay but was enthusiastic and provided much historical background along the way. We appreciated the choice of walks at Waterfall Bay as fitness levels varied. A larger bus would have made the trip more comfortable and last visit to Richmond was late in the day and not much still open to visit. Overall good value and most enjoyable trip.

Our guide was fantastic. Definitely take the chance to do the longer 45 minute walk if you can, the views are amazing. Make sure you pack enough water as Port Arthur doesn't currently have drinking taps available.

A scenic, historic & memorable experience

The coastline scenery on the cliff top walk was spectacular, highly recommend the longer walk (it's quite easy). The history of Port Arthur and it's inhabitants most fascinating. The preservation of buildings and artefacts of great significance very much appreciated. The memorial at Port Arthur provides solemn tribute to innocent lives lost. Our tour guide was extremely informative. We also stopped at Richmond and a lookout over Hobart on the return trip.

Unexpected interest

This was a very good tour, extremely interesting and with lots of free time to wander around the site. We had no pre-conception that the site was so vast nor the history involved. The only downside for us was the boat trip around the bay which we thought was not very exciting and did not really add anything to the days trip.

Audrey was a lovely guide. Enjoyed the day at Port Arthur, having the 4 hours there was enough time for me to take it all in. The clifftop walk we did was really pretty and a great addition to the trip.

This is a wonderful tour. On the way to Port Arthur we stopped for a 2km cliff edge walk with the most spectacular scenery. Port Arthur itself was great. You're given free time to explore at your leisure and your time there includes a short boat trip. On the return to Hobart from Port Arthur, we stopped at Richmond which is a beautiful town full of history. Our final stop was a lookout close to Hobart. It was a long but wonderful day. I'd highly recommend it.
