What To Expect
Depart from a centrally located Hiroshima hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and relax during the scenic journey to Miyajima, which literally translates as ‘shrine island’. Board a ferry and sail towards the natural haven of the island, stopping to see playful monkeys and wild deer surround the renowned Itsukushima Shrine. Spend a moment admiring the dynamic architecture of the temple and hear of its rich historical heritage from your guide.
Next, head to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to explore a verdant expanse dedicated to promoting peace. Built to commemorate the destructive atomic bomb dropped over Hiroshima in 1945, the park houses the Peace Memorial Museum and a selection of monuments that commemorate those lost in the explosion. Browse intriguing exhibitions and visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a skeletal structure that partially survived the blast.
Spend a moment reflecting quietly at the Memorial Cenotaph for Atomic Bomb Victims and read the seemingly interminable list of those lost in the brutal explosion. Visit more monuments, including the Cenotaph fro Korean Victims, and then return to a central Hiroshima location at the end of your moving tour.

Amazing place and tour. A must, place to visit in your bucket list. It will provide you with a new meaning to the term "start from scratch".
Miyajima island is a beautiful and busy place. Plenty of places to eat, or drink (Literally, there's a bar that was packed in the afternoon!) There's even a Starbucks!
Amy did a great job as a Tour Guide. Don't miss it.

Should have given Miyajima Island a pass. It is a tourist trap and the Tori gate was under repair and could not be seen. Food catered to tourists and was bad all around.
Hiroshima Peace memorial is a great memorial and very moving to see the effects of nuclear weapons. Tour guide was not good. Just kept talking about herself which was very annoying. I did not sign up for the tour to hear about her personal issues. She did not say much about the Hiroshima bombing.

The tour of Hiroshima was very moving and the Guide Amy did a good job. She was personally involved as she told us her Mother was pregnant with her at the time of the dropping of the atomic bomb and it was only by chance that her parents were out of town on that day that they survived.
We also enjoyed the ferry ride to the Island and the shops on the Island. All in all a very enjoyable trip.

We did the tour of Miyajima Island and Hiroshima Peace Park with Sunrise Tours a few days ago. Miyajima island was absolutely beautiful and it was very quiet (which we were told was rare) so we were able to take it easy and enjoy ourselves. Hiroshima was powerful and very moving... But such an incredible experience.
However, this was all made exponentially by our wonderful guide - Nobu-san. She gave us so much detail and background about everything we were seeing and she had personal connections to the tragedy back in 1945. She was an amazing guide but also a wonderful person.
I would highly recommend this and if you go - fingers crossed that Nobu-san is your guide!
Absolutely amazing!

We went to the Atomic Dome which is the last surviving building after WWII. Then we went to the Peace Memorial. The Peace Memorial is an experience unlike any other. At first it seems very clinical and straight forward with exhibits talking about the people who discovered atomic energy, the people who weaponised it, the people who ordered it to be used, how they selected Hiroshima, and even where they were aiming for. Then it tells the personal stories of people in Hiroshima. The victims, the children, families... it is a unique experience and should not be missed.
Then we went to Miyajima island. It is a beautiful island with a beautiful shrine, the Tori Gate, deer, and lots of sponge cakes :

This was a great 101 tour with the lovely and picturesque island of Miyajima. This is no criticism of the tour but there were so many people on the island and it was almost impossible to really enjoy the sights and scenery without doing most of it on your own. Highly recommend wandering and looking and things and perhaps taking the boat to the Peace Park in town. We wanted to spend so much more time on Miyajima. Anyways, the tour at the Memorial Park was nice and enjoyed the serenity of the area in spite of the incredibly painful history of this location.

The guide on the trip was excellent, Samin was very knowledgeable and moved us to tears with her personal family accounts.
The one thing I would change about the trip is the amount of time dedicated to the memorial park and museum. It was way too short.
The tour could start earlier than 10:30, say around 9:00 to accommodate that.

The tour was good. Everything we saw was interesting and well laid out. Unfortunately, the tour leader spoke very poor broken English. For the amount of money we paid for this tour we expected a tour leader who could speak fluent English, but instead we got someone who read from notes all day, consistently got the words wrong and left many people in the group confused. She also used a portable microphone that was so quiet, unless you stood directly in front of her it was hard to hear. This was then further complicated by her constant turning around as she talked, meaning most people would hear 1-2 words before she turned away. Overall we were very disappointed by the tour. Other tours through this company have been great, but this was definitely a low point of our trip.

It is a really very nice hotel. It's position right on the station is great. The staff very pleasant and helpful.
We booked a club room that was very good. A good selection of Western and Japanese food was on
offer whilst having a drink, again with good choice Breakfast was included in our rate and again the
Quality and choice was very good. The room was spacious and kept clean. They also supply Yukatas
Which is a nice touch and convenient too.
We were travelling through and stayed two nights. Very pleasant ones. A very good base for travel and
a comfortable base to return to after a day out sightseeing.
My wife and I would recommend it a very good hotel for tourists or businessmen on the move.
Very somber but powerful experience...

We had a small group 5 which made the tour much quicker as we didn't have to wait for anyone. This gave us more free time to enjoy Miyajima Island which was very interesting. We didn't expect a market on the island. Hiroshima Peace Park was a moving experience and our guide gave us lots of information to understand what we saw. Our guide was excellent.
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
