Great wine tasting in Crete

This tour is one of best wine tasting tours I have done, and we have done many. Our guide, Petros was just great with constant conversation and information on Crete, wine making, olive oil tasting. Wineries selected did great job and we could see our guide has worked closely with the wineries. The best was at end of tour we had 6 course lunch with more wine at a quaint village away from all the tourists. Really felt like a local. Would heartily recommend this tour as a way to get away from crowds, get flavor of the countryside and enjoy wines and terrific meal

The winery tour was amazing - we went to two different wineries; one a family owned and operated and the other which used grapes grown on their property as well as grapes from local farmers. Lunch was at a little restaurant in a small town close by and the food was delicious. The great part was sampling a little from a lot of different dishes, all paired with some tasty wines, different from the ones we tried earlier. There was no pressure to buy anything at the wineries or in town, and the group was small enough that if we wanted to stop and take photos or look at things, we could. Pierre was very knowledgeable about not only the wines, but also the region. Highly recommended!

This tour ranks at the top of our list for our two week trip to Greece and Italy! The guide is very hospitable and the stops were quaint smaller places off the beaten path. We rate this five plus stars and highly recommend. The only note is that the tour is a small group for 6 or so people.

We saw an olive oil refinery and two wineries. Everyone was friendly and informative. For me, the best part of the tour was the authentic Cretan cuisine that was served family style at a quaint village after the tours.
