Departure Time

9:30 AM
Depart from your Granada hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and relax during the scenic journey to Costa Tropical (Tropical Coast). Marvel at spectacular coastal scenery as you cruise past trees bursting with exotic fruit like papaya, avocado and mango. Pass the traditional village of Salobrena, a place in which glittering white houses and an impressive Islamic castle sprawl over a rugged hilltop. Capture fabulous photographs and admire the spectacular seaside views before returning to the minivan for the next part of the journey.   Stop for a traditional Spanish lunch in a rustic restaurant in the old quarter of Almunecar. Absorb the tranquil ambience of the Majuelo Park and appreciate the stolid structure of the Castle of San Miguel before venturing to the underground wonderland of Nerja. Disembark the minivan at Nerja and set out to explore the captivating Caves of Nerja with your experienced guide. Scan the stalactite-studded caverns for ancient archeological remains, which include a 32-meter central column declared the largest in the world. Hear the eerie echoes of water droplets and learn of how many classical music concerts are staged within the caves due to the excellent acoustics.

Relax during the smooth journey back to your Granada accommodation, enjoying the spectacular seaside scenery for a second time along the route.

I had a phenomenal time on this tour! Marta and William are an excellent team. Marta is very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. She is able to give the tour in English and Spanish without difficulty. William is a great driver I felt safe and comfortable with him at the wheel. The locations are beautiful and the lunch is very tasty. I highly recommend this trip :

Long bus ride but beautiful scenery by the coast and of course the caves are incredible. Don't know if the dual Spanish/English commentary is necessary as everyone in the bus spoke English. Well worth the price and the time.

Really nice tour, showing the beautiful coastline.Lovely air conditioned mini van Mercedes. Stopped off at Almunecar had a look at the local sites, and coffee by the sea front. Then off to the caves, which was a awesome sight. The only issue here is the tour guide inside the caves did rush a little bit, as many groups where inside. This was a guide from the Caves and not our tour leader. We had a really good lunch at Nerja beach with plenty of sea food . Lovely funny driver William who came back a different route as I had car sickness on the way down due to winding roads .

This was a really nice tour. Pick up was smooth as we were at an rental not hotel. It was totally in line with what was advertised. I would have skipped the garden tour that was before the 'fort'. The other somewhat pesty aspect was that we had English speakers and Spanish speakers on the trip so the poor guide had to give information in both languages which was just long. The caves were great. Were we stopped over looking the ocean there was a really pretty church. I was wary of the lunch but it was great and even in April, my kids went swimming in the Mediterranean! No great place to change, but we figured it out and just used a restroom. Thanks well done tour.

My family of four had a wonderful time on this trip. The drive was very scenic and the coast was beautiful. There was some uphill walking, which my family appreciated after the drive. Our guide, Antonio, was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke English fluently. He obviously has a great love for this area and passed that on to us. I highly recommend this tour.
