Disappointing day

We arrived at Schwetzingen Castle to be advised it was closed for renovations. There was no indication at time this tour was booked that this would be the case as we would have not booked this tour if we had known. A tour of Schwetzingen castle is the reason we booked in the first place, Heidelberg was just a bonus. Given this was not a cheap tour, it is not good enough. Our guide was apologetic and tried his hardest to make up for it but one thing after another went wrong.

Wow! This tour was fantastic. Our tour guide, Jack, was VERY knowledgeable, pleasant, and enthusiastic. We visited Heidelberg Castle before the crowds and learned a lot about the Castle from Jack. We were then given an orientation of Heidelberg and given free time to explore on our own. Next, we went to Scwetzingen Castle to see/walk the gardens. The gardens are beautiful and immense. This was an absolutely wonderful tour, and I would highly recommend it.
