Best tour in Toscana

This was one of the best trips I have ever done. There were only two of us in the tour so instead of a small group tour we ended up having a private tour. Our guide Alexandro was just AMAZING!! Very knowledgeable, he gave us all the information we needed, he was showing us the best photo shoots spots, he was adding extra stops into our itinerary making sure that we will take back home the best photos. Our lunch and wine tasting was one of the best as well. Lornano winery is definitely worth visiting!! If you are in Toscana this tour is a must!!

Travel Uniqueness - Not to be missed

Totally worth it. Felt like it was customized just for us ( 4 women). A fabulous full day tour. Our tour Guide Allesandro from PrestigeRent met us on time. As we drove out of Florence, he gave us all his knowledge on the city & the sights. To our surprise we were the only ones on the tour. ( My wish did come true). Travelling around with a very informative, super friendly Tour Guide who spoke great English, gave us an amazing insight to these two cities. A surprise was we first stopped at the cutest old town Monterrigiani, at the top of a hill ( a much needed coffee on a very chilly morning). Sienna was beautiful ( 2nd visit). I loved that Allesandro took his time telling us about the history, explaining the "Contrada's" the 17 "areas in Siena. I did not know this. Fascinating. Showed us how to identify when we walked from one Contrada to the next with just an alleyway or corner separating them. We had a hands on guided tour through Siena, and highlighted the important things to see in our free time which didn't feel rushed. Along the way, we got to learn all about the Classico & Chianti Region & how they differ from our tour guide. Next stop was the Lornano Winery. We had a FULL on lunch set around a gorgeous big ole table. I thought it would just be cold cuts paired with the wines. Nope. The Pasta ( made on premises) for the main was delicious. And the most magnificent Rose which I never expected. Do yourself a favour, buy some wine. I loved the Red Everyday drinking wine. However all of them were amazing. Lunch was over a 2 hour period. I loved that it wasn't just gobble & go. And so personalized. San Gimignano (2nd visit) was just as delightful in the winter. We had free time here to walk around, discover the winding alleys & roads to be greeted with spectacular views. The pickup point is easily explained in detail on the ticket. Approx a 10 min walk past S.M.N train station. Follow the directions & it's not a problem. I totally recommend this tour if you want to get a taste of local made Tuscan Wine, see two beautiful cities , each with their own Uniqueness, and score your own driver who really does care about your experience while being driven around in a very comfortable mini van. ( we had a mercedes) Small Group Tours in my opinion are the only way to go. It becomes "personalized" almost customized. Do yourself a favour. Get on it. And tip generously. They deserve it.

Personal, informative and enjoyable visits to beautiful Tuscan places

This was a really interesting trip and we were fortunate to be the only people in the group which was very personal. Alessandro was very informative, speaks English very well and he was very friendly and made the trip fun. As we had made good time on the journey, Alessandro took us to Monteriggioni for a quick stop which was an added bonus. The wine tour and lunch was particularly good value. We had 3 courses and the wines were delicious.

Loved San Gimignano!

Trip was great! Only my sister and I (mid 20's) had signed up for the trip, but the providers didn't cancel and let us go on our own. Alessandro was a great guide, very knowledgeable as a Florentine local. The best part of the trip was the Tuscan winery visit and San Gimignano. Be aware that you can order wine from the wonery internationally, but there' s a 6 bottle minimum. Get some friends to chip in back home and it's a really nice deal.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day trip to Siena and San Gimignano, along with the lunch stop at a Tuscan winery. Our guide Eleanora was great, as was our driver, Angelo. I highly recommend this tour.

Tour Experience Could Have been Better

The basic arrangements were fine. The guide was very pleasant and helpful but could have provided more information in regard to Siena and San Gimignano. We were given about an hour of free time in both places. I felt some of that time could have been spent in her pointing out historical sites. The winery provided lunch which, for the price of the trip, was not very good. The antipasto platter which went along with the wine tasting was fine. The pasta was supposed to be beef ragu but there was hardly any sauce and two morsels of chopped meat. The apple cake was very dry. With not too much effort the lunch could have been improved.
