Florence Cooking Classes by Florencetown , Via Panicale, 43/r, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy

Florencetown cooking school is located in Via Panicale 43red (close to Central Market). Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starting time.

This activity will end right where it started.
Learn how to make two of Italy's most popular and delicious foods during this Florence cooking class.

As you get started with your chef, learn about the history of pizza-making in Italy, and the distinct characteristics between pies from each Italian region. Sample an array of pizza flavors as you go and then throw your own creation in the oven to bake.

Continue with a lesson in dessert, as you receive instruction on crafting traditional Italian gelato. While this sweet treat does share similarities to ice cream found in other countries, it typically has a lower amount of butterfat and a unique freezing process that accounts for its dense, flavorful consistency. As your instructor shows you the secrets of the trade, enjoy plenty of samples to satisfy your sweet tooth.

After your class concludes, take home your insider’s tips from your chef to impress your friends in the kitchen.

Awesome time!

This class was awesome!! My husband and I did it together and this was our first time doing something like this and won’t be our last! We had a great time. The pizza was great and so was the gelato. However, they just show how to make the gelato you do not actually make it just an FYI but you still get to eat it so that was good enough for us!

Went to to this cooking class today and had a great time with delicious selfmade pizza and chocolate icecream. Meeting point easy to find via Google Maps and message upfront via Viator app, it's the address of the cooking school. Great atmosphere, we were the only Dutchies today in a group of other pizza 'students' from the US. Travelling with two little children can be a hassle, but the blond lady chef who entertained our baby daughter (who was getting fussy, 9 months old) was a godsend 🤗 We could focus on making pizza dough with our 3,5 year old son, who was (to our surprise) very interested and impressed by teacher Tomas and the chefs team. Thank you once again!

The chef was wonderful and great at explaining his techniques and processes!! The food we made which was pizza from scratch and gelato were delicious! They also provided some red wine for us to enjoy along with the meal we made! It was so much fun and will do another class the next time I’m in Italy!!

Fun for teenagers

Admittedly my teenage son and husband had no interest in going but I forced them and they had a blast. The chef was great at demonstrating what to do and we had a blast and met another nice family at our table while cooking and then eating and enjoying wine.

Our class was a mix of families, solo travelers, couples - there was a lot to manage and our teacher Caterina did a great job keeping everyone on schedule and entertained! We had a fun time rolling out pizza dough, and learning about how gelato is made- from a true expert.
