Oksana (my guide) was a wonderful storyteller who brought Michelangelo and David to life for me - she shared the backdrop against which Michelangelo created David, as well as facts about Michelangelo as a sculptor. She was extremely knowledgeable and open to questions. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to see beyond the sculpture.

Seeing the David was amazing. Also seeing the musical instruments was awesome especially seeing the Stradivarius violins. Our guide was a little difficult to hear at times because of loud noise in museum. I think if we had different type of earphones would have need better. Had different type of earphone in Rome tour and much easier to hear guide. Also our guide had thick Italian accent which was no problem for me and husband but 69 year old sister had trouble understanding her.

Our guide, Laurie, made the tour. She had a wealth of knowledge to share about Michelangelo, and the other important players of the time. Learning the history of the David brought a greater appreciation for this exceptional piece of art. She knew her stuff, had passion for art and presented the information in a factual but entertaining way - one hour very well spent. From the skip the line commentary I have read elsewhere - for us, it was seamless. We met our guide on the corner and proceeded together to the gallery. Straight through admission to the action - well worth what we paid.

Really enjoyed Lori's tour where she shared her extensive knowledge of what we were seeing at the Accademia Gallery Tour and a lot of history about Michelangelo and how he came to be David's sculptor. She was very enthusiastic and, having been born in American (but has lived in Italy for 20 years now), her English was excellent. I highly recommend taking a tour with Lori!

Lori did an excellent job using a comprehensive and integrated story to provide historical perspective throughout the tour. She used her tablet to show photos and drawings which really helped, and she let us sit while she explained. Lori was well prepared and organized. She was the best of many great tour guides we’ve experienced.
