Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Take the guesswork out of transport and picking a restaurant on this affordable way to see the Italian Riviera.
Cinque Terre is one of Italy’s most captivating landscapes. Translated as ‘five lands,’ the region is made up of five unique fishing villages that line the Italian Riviera.

Your day trip begins in central Florence, where meet your guide and hop aboard your coach to head out toward the seashore. Stop first in the southernmost village of Riomaggiore, which dates back to the 13th century. Beloved for its local wine and incomparable scenery, admire the pastel-colored buildings as you follow your guide along the cobblestone streets.

Head to the tiny village of Manarola next, home to medieval relics and a plethora of grapevines. Stroll the harbor and take snapshots of the beautiful, bright buildings that cling to the cliff.

Then, weather permitting, hop aboard your boat to travel to Monterosso. If you choose to include lunch with your ticket, settle down in one of the village’s restaurants for a traditional helping of seafood and pasta, complemented by wine and water. (A sample menu can be found in the Itinerary section.)

Afterward, with taste buds and stomach sated, enjoy some time to explore independently. Unpack your bathing suit and hit the jeweled waters of Monterosso’s stunning beaches.

Make a final stop in Vernazza, bordered by terraced olive groves that are said to produce some of the finest olive oil in Italy. Explore the bustling square and winding streets at your leisure, before returning back to Florence.

Note: Cinque Terre low-cost option does not include train and boat tickets.

Don't use Ciao Florence, use another tour operator
Denise S

Having taken dozens of Viator tours and living in Europe for 7 years, this is the worst tour experience that I've had. The directions to the meeting point are not good. As other reviewers said, it is not "next to the train station." It is another 10-minute walk from there. We called the tour operator 7 times that morning, 5 of which they did not answer the phone. One guy told us to take the side street next to Burger King (not at all correct). We finally talked to a woman who was helpful and stayed on the phone while giving us directions to the meeting point. By then, we missed the bus (even though the tour company knew we were on our way). Heading back to our apartment, we saw and spoke to other tour operators who actually meet their clients at the train station and walk them to the bus terminal because it's so difficult to find. VERY disappointed in the directions, service and follow up from this tour company who refused to give us a refund of any kind.

Dear Denise We are very sorry for your disappointment. In our defense we would like to specify that the meeting point is not this difficult as you want to describe it. Thousands of tourists travelling with us every year are the proof: - It is literally attached to the main train station (you just need to walk all aroud it. 'Next' or 'behind' depends on your point of view, both place prepositions are correct. The point is that once you receive the voucher with the precise address it is on you to find the place ahead of time! Google maps directs you in 6' minutes walking from the train station (!) Furthermore: - It is the only town touristic bus terminal and there are signs from the train station. - All the private companies buses (except the public buses) leave from here on behalf of the town municipality. The designated spot is the only official spot where groups of tourists can be picked up/ dropped off, we haven't decided it, we just respect the rule given to protect the city center (Unesco Site) from chaos and pollution. Plus, we guarantee ten minutes waiting for the late clients always, after that we need to leave in the respect of the strict schedule and of all the other passengers arrived more than punctually (even twenty minutes earlier, as kindly requested in the voucher, for making the check in operation easier). Lastly, the company staff in charge of the check in operation turns on the phone at 6:15 am on purpose to answer the calls from possible clients needing any help and luckily there's not that many. Absolutely false that nobody answered because we must answer and we are happy to do that! Maybe it was not ringing at all and when you finally got to call it was too late (?) Hopefully next time it will be a better experience for you. Wishing you all the best Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

Fantastic day. The train rides were a bit of adventure, but all part of the fun. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do the boat ride which was quite disappointing.

Dear client Thank you for choosing Ciaoflorence and for writing your feedback! We are happy that you have enjoyed the day :) For the boat ride: it is specified, both on the website and on the sales channels, that it is available from April 1st until October 31st. This is connected to the bad weather and rain that start between October and November. We hope you will get a chance to come back in summer or sprng, enjoy the boat ride as well and maybe delight us with a fifth star :) Best Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

First and foremost I have to sincerely thank our amazing tour guide Valentina and the company for waiting 10 minutes for me. I got lost super close to the meeting point, but found it and made it on. The tour was absolutely amazing! The views are incredible and I ate so much delicious food I think I almost burst. Valentina, no worries. I refuse to put pineapple on pizza and as you said a little Italian Grandma dies every time you do. Amazing hostess who is very knowledgeable, warm and friendly and tells cute jokes as well as educates you. Highly recommend!
Amazing tour with spectacular views

Our tour guides were exceptional, personable, and knowledgeable. It was a relaxing tour with ample time to visit the sites. A little more time at the first two stops would have been nice, and the last stop was not much to see.

The tour itself is excellent, however two major things: the directions to the meeting place were terrible. More details should be sent at least one week ahead of tour and there should be a link that shows an image of meeting place. The other suggestion is for the lunch option to take place at a restaurant overlooking the beach, instead of a 10 minute walk away from it
icon Response from Host , Oct 2019
Dear Deane Thanks for your feedback and for your suggestions. We would like to kindly explain that: - At the moment any client books he/ she receives a voucher/ booking confirmation with all the details needed for the departure, first and foremost: the specific address. The best would be, for everyone, to find the place ahead of time. - About the restaurant overlooking the beach: when choosing the local suppliers we also need to consider the practical aspects as the capacity of the restaurant. Those nice places you have seen, apart from being too touristic, are very small and not able to welcome a group. However, where we go is not far at all but just five minutes walk and it is still very close to the beach. Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

Find the bus terminal before your tour. It was off the beaten track and farther than we expected. There were too many people for one guide to take care of, so you really have to pay attention as you are getting on and off several trains.

Dear customer Thank you for joining us on tour and for the five stars given, it is highly appreciated! We would just like to specify that the meeting point is not that far as you mention, please consider: - It is literally attached to the main train station (you just need to go all along it but Google maps directs you in 6' minutes walking). - It is the only town touristic bus terminal. - The meeting point for all the private companies (except the public transport buses, in other words) is decided by the municipality. The designated spot is the only official spot where groups of tourists can be picked up/ dropped off, we haven't decided it, we just respect the rule given to protect the city center (Unesco Site) from chaos and pollution. We are sorry if it could have been hard. Wishing you all the best Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff

We had an excellent day. Our guide Eva was very clear with her descriptions and information as well as being very friendly and taking good care of all of our needs. We chose to have the meal and this was very pleasant. Our only disappointment was that we were unable to go on the boat at the end because of the rough sea and this would have been a highlight for us.My friend and I are in the 70+ group and we didnt find the walking too difficult.
