Although we have really enjoyed the city, the tour organization was very below our expectations. We were supposed to leave at 8am and we only went at 9:30 am. The tour was supposed to last 12 hours (arrival at 20) and we have only arrived at 22:30. We arrived at Chefchaouen close to 14 and then started the tour, with everyone without having lunch. The same happened for dinner on the way back. We had a dinner reservation we couldn’t attend due to the huge delay. And finally, the guided tour was nothing more than a walk through the city, without any explanation on the history, costumes, and so on. To conclude, I enjoyed the day because the city was very nice despite the quite poor tour organization.

Keep in mind it's a transfer and no actual tour, but loved it!

My driver was Mustafa. He was super super nice and a good driver, even if he drove a little bit fast. Keep in mind that Chefchaouen is 3 hours away from Fez, with 1-2 intermediate stops :) the van was really clean and super comfortable too. It sat 7 people + the driver in total, but we weren't really squished in either. In reality this tour is a transfer, no real tour of Chefchaouen, so keep in mind that when going there. If you really want a tour I would say you need to book a walking tour there - although it's not really needed. Otherwise I would really recommend this one! My driver picked me right on time (they confirmed the exact time the day before). Once there, we had 4 hours in Chefchaouen before going back to Fez, and we were back early enough (around 6:30-7 PM). Chefchaouen is small, so you can really get to know it in about 4 hours, but it's really beautiful and worth it!
Best way to see Chefchaouen

great day trip that makes it really to get to and from Chefchaouen from Fez. I was planning on doing this trip by myself but getting the right time table for the busses was hard given the amount of time that I wanted to spend in Chefchaouen, this made it much easier and I’m glad I purchased this. we got a little over 3 hours to explore Chefchaouen by ourselves.

I had a great experience with 3T travel! I’m so glad I decided to book the Small-group day tour to Chefchaouen. I was having trouble finding my way out of the area that my airbnb was located in and The driver that picked me up that morning was so patient. He stayed in constant communication with me until I found my way to the van. The van was very nice and comfortable which made the driver enjoyable. If you’re looking for a good and affordable experience, I’d definitely recommend you book this tour!

Car ride long but breathtaking scenery. Not too much of a tour, but beats the bus I’d say
, Jul 2021
The tour itself was not too much of a tour, but rather a private driver taking us to our trip destination . We stopped twice on the way 1 for breakfast and 2 right before Chefchaouen in order to get pictures of the city from a distance. Breakfast was very limited options but the food was comparable to prices in Rabat and it was tasty. I’m from a big area, so driving 1-2 hours a day is regular, and the 3/4 hour one way drive isn’t terrible, but if you aren’t accustomed to being in cars long distances, keep in mind that you will be in the vehicle longer than at the city. The city is very pretty, and the shop owners aren’t as pushy and aggressive as other large cities, but being a tourist during this covid period is just the most dreadful thing and it is hard to have peace. Sadly they are trying to exploit you just as any other city, but in some areas I did notice the shop owners were more honest about pricing than others. The company itself was very professional in how they handled us, and I was contacted very shortly after booking, which is quite reassuring. Our driver didn’t really act as a tour guide (I have been a tour guide, so I know how we ought to present things) so he didn’t explain really much about anything, however he was kind and respectful as well, and wouldn’t mind being driven by him again. Overall I am glad to have seen the city, but do recommend maybe a full day or an overnight trip to truly explore, however if this is all you can do, I do not disencourage you from pursuing it!

Unsafe - Tour Operators should consider pulling 1 day trip
, Feb 2020
Chefchaouen is a good place to visit but given my wife and my experience, not worth the risk of travelling on Moroccan roads (for ~3.5 hours each way) with drivers who did not observe safety requirements. Speeding on corners, getting too close to other cars and driving on dilapidated roads negates what should be a relaxed drive through beautiful landscape. I was tempted not to write a review but I am concerned with the safety of passengers; I am not a person who is overly fearful about safety regulations but the tour operators have a responsibility to those that travel with them. If the length of journey (there and back) is not feasible in one day; do not offer the tour or alternatively do it over 2 days.

The blue city is nice to see, but it is not worth the 3+ hour drive to get there. The bus drivers were driving wreckless and speeding. Everyone on the bus was nervous and scared. We wanted to cut our trip short to try to leave while the sun was still out because we hated the thought of riding in the dark with the drivers. I had friends in 2 vans that were going and they had the same experience in their van. Driver sped across speed bumps, everyone bounced out of chair, felt like a bad rollercoaster ride. I would not recommend this tour.
