It was horrible they took my money knowing they were going to be closed and I’m still waiting for A reply for my refund

Hi Antione, we are sorry we weren't able to operate that day due to the special governor order of closing businesses on that Sunday. The goverment shutdown of the forest was something last minute and out of our hands. We hope you can visit the island on another date and enjoy the forest. This refund was approved by our company and viator/tripadvisor will be refunding you in 3-5 days.

Best tour guides made the experience what it was

The tour guides were what made our experience amazing! They were helpful, funny, knowledgeable and I would love to go back and have them be our guides again! I am rather inexperienced when it comes to hiking in the rain forest but they helped me the entire way. When I was shaking with fear to jump off one of the rocks into the water, one of the guides came to me and held my hand until I was able to let go! I will never forget this incredible experience because of them.

Amazing Experience Worth Your Money!

Roberto greeted us at Ralph's Supermarket with his crew. We all followed his car to the entrance of El Yunque. He led our hiking group, stopped to talk about the ecology, trees, animals, etc. He was friendly, sweet, informed. This is not an easy hike. You will be walking through some sticky mud, climbing steep terrain, bouldering and walking through rivers. You will get chances to jump into the rivers by rope, diving or natural water slides. Its incredible but not for the faint-hearted. That being said, I'm not an athlete. In fact, I could stand to lose a few pounds but the guides were really helpful in getting me from one rock to another and as long as you try, you should be fine. Be okay with falling, missing the mark... chances are you'll get a little bruised up but the experience is worth it.

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to PR. This experience is definitely not for everyone and is a pretty technical hike. Although it's not a long hike, it's thru rivers, up super steep and muddy slopes, climbing over rocks, etc. Roberto our guide was very personable and informative. Would definitely recommend.

Not needed

You really don't need this tour. If you are looking at this particular tour it means you have a car. If you have a car already then you have access to several different trails of all skill level. We did not get to go on this tour, I inadvertently drove 45 minutes to wrong meeting place and after waiting for a call back for 2 days to try to get on another tour we eventually received a text message that said they didn't have room for us. I was devastated. But not for long. We ended up spending the day in the rain forest at our leisure exploring multiple waterfalls and natural swimming holes, as well as a trail near the peak with a tower with breathtaking views. It was perfect! Even the beaten path trails were not easy so I am glad we didn't do the off the beaten path ones based on other reviews it would have been difficult. When booking activities for our PR trip I thought we needed to do a guided tour- I didn't realize how easy and fun it was to do it on our own so I thought I would share that as it was my experience.
