Total scam

First of all the had us all standing around on the grass getting eaten alive by bugs we all walked away with at least 50 bug bites annoyed for the next couple days. Second, the bioluminescent bay is a total hoax and our guide even told us the pictures we saw were photoshopped basically admitting we paid 50$ to see absolutely nothing. Personally I would not recommend this to anyone if anything go rent your own kayak for less and ride it back there by your self no need for a guide at all. Honestly can’t believe all of the tour places are still in business cause they are all a huge scam

Greetings Dillon _B It is important to remember that this activity is a nature encounter; there exists a good chance of coming across mosquitos and other insects at night on the beach, heading into a mangrove forest. Because of this, we always recommend all our guests to come prepared, and to bring anything they might find necessary for their personal use. On the other hand, false advertising is a practice many others partake in when it comes to the Laguna Grande Bioluminescent Bay. At PR Access Tours we do not promote this, and rather choose to appreciate and show the charm of all our non-exaggerated pictures –and information– found on our website (accesstourspr.com) and other media. It is also paramount to note that Laguna Grande is a Goverment Protected Nature Reserve. Access to the reserve is limited and only licensed companies, like us, by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Enviromental Resources can legally offer trips to this protected area. We are a very open company and would have liked if you would have approached our managers after your experience to share your thoughts, finding together a way to make up for your dissatisfaction. Safe regards, Alexander

A perfect way to end the day. From the moment we arrived to check in the staff was welcoming and very friendly. It was my partners first time doing this and my second and the crew made it simple to understand how to navigate and what to expect. The tour guide Brian was very informative alongside his crew. As far as the Bioluminescent part, the skies were clear and the moon was bright which makes it harder to see the glow that everyone expects but our guides provided a large tarp in order for us to get the experience we all went there for. Overall, a must when visiting Puerto Rico.

We had a great experience! Kayaking through the mangrove channel was really beautiful and the glow in the bay was really cool! I will say that we personally were less than successful with the kayaking portion but the guides helped us tremendously -- maybe they should just save themselves the trouble and offer to tie the beginner kayakers to a guide to begin with.

Great experience

Bioluminescence is a cool phenomenon. Darkest nights are best. This group of guides were great at working with what they had (some guests had never used a kayak!) And it is dark, and some is ocean bay with a current. The level of work was worth it for the opportunity to see such a wonder of the world. Thanks to Rafael/Leonardo...or whichever ninja turtle he wants to be and the rest of the crew whose names behoove me at the moment.

Excellent Tour - so cool!

The guides (Donatelo, Kenneth, Belin, and Ahmed) were very knowledgeable and professional. The trip is a but well work the time and effort. Used bug spray and had no problems. The bioluminescent was easy to see under the tarp provided but also pretty bright without, even with the almost half moon light. Such a cool tour!

Under impressed

Pictures on the website did not come close to the actual view on our kayak trip. Some basic instructions on paddling, then about a 40 minute row through a 20 foot wide channel into a bay lit by the town's lights. The boating requires moderate knowledge of kayaking and you must be in decent shape; n ot for beginners at all. Spent 20 minutes in the bay, then started back. Nice guides, but you will see better bioluminescence from fireflies in your backyard. Small specks of light were occasionally seen but often nothing appeared in the water. There might be better places to experience this phenomenon, but this tour is not it. Save your money and try the free rain forest nearby.
