Returns to original departure point
Your ‘Da Vinci Code’ adventure departs in the morning from central Edinburgh. Meet your expert guide and board your top-of-the-range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach for a half-day tour of the Scottish Borderlands and some of the area’s most legendary locations.

Your first stop is the epic viewpoint at Scott’s View—named for Sir Walter Scott—perched high above Tweed Valley and Eildon Hills. Snap some photos of Roman ruins and the rugged Scottish landscape, then continue to the lovely town of Melrose, an ancient settlement along the River Tweed. Stroll through the town that suffered a history of English invasion to see Melrose Abbey, the burial place of Robert the Bruce’s heart. Founded by Cistercian monks in the 12th century, the abbey offers a legendary history connecting the Cistercians to the Knights Templar. Tour the space and grab some lunch in town (own expense).

After lunch, continue to the mysterious Rosslyn Chapel, a 15th-century masterpiece that enjoyed a critical role in "The Da Vinci Code." Explore the medieval structure and study the chapel's elaborate stonework, loaded with provocative symbolism. Hear some of the many theories, myths, and legends about the chapel that attracts visitors from around the globe, then relax on the ride back to Edinburgh.

Your tour ends at Waverley Bridge.

It was a fabulous day start to finish Dougie (not Doug) haha, was amazing. The depth of knowledge he had was amazing. We were the only 2 people on the tour and he shown and shared his knowledge with us from start to finish. Rosslyn chapel was something else. It is a must see!!! The views of the Highlands were breathtaking and Melrose Abbey was stunning. An excellent day all round

Good tour, ample time at each venue, driver informative. We had to catch a bus back to our cruise ship and driver was kind enough to leave us off close to the bus departure point to save us time. Very considerate.

A nice day in the country with a guide going through the motions. Pleasant scenery. Time at sites was distributed improperly. Too little time in Melrose. Too much time at other spots.

Bob is your uncle!

I joined a small group (9 people) through Rabbie’s. I certainly looked forward to the destinations, but I was definitely engrossed by the journey. Bob our tour guide is a local, from Rosslyn itself, no less! He’s very knowledgeable of every mile we travelled - from the makings of Edinburgh inner city, to every border town along the river Tweed. We even stopped to pat the most beautiful horse in Scotland! His funny anecdotes and trivias made the trip super fun. Indeed, Bob is your uncle!

Whether you're Da Vinci's code fan or not, this is a must see! Our guide Dug was great, fond of history, curious, talkative, knowing so many great stories and telling them with a passion! It was raining in the morning, but as soon as we were in melrose place the weather gave us time to make photos....the landscapes are beautiful so green, so full of scottish something :) Do this tour, nothing to regret! The mini bus is very comfortable, you can even charge your phone

What a Beautiful Chapel!!

My wife and I visited this Chapel and learned a lot. I wish they allowed photos but the gift shop does sell some nice post cards to help you remember what you see. This place has some incredible stone carvings that were done hundreds on years ago.
