Your exclusive 'Game of Thrones' tour of Dubrovnik starts as you meet your guide at Pile Square in Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take off on your walking tour along the historic streets, stopping to check out locations used in the filming of the uber-popular HBO television show, adapted from George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' epic novel series that spans many years of brutal fighting between the noble families of fictional Westeros.

The show is shot in locations throughout Europe, but Dubrovnik, with its red rooftops and stunning coastal location on the Adriatic Sea, is one of the most recognizable as King’s Landing, the capital of the realm’s seven kingdoms. Trace Ayra Stark's footsteps to see where she hid from the Lannisters on the streets; walk up the city walls that were attacked by the Baratheons; and check out Lovrijenac Fortress, an 11th-century castle perched high above the sea, aka Blackwater Bay, which is featured in battle scenes, most prominently the Battle of Blackwater.

You also see a softer side of things as you visit parks and other open spaces used to film scenes set in the countryside. Throughout your tour, listen to commentary from your guide about the various characters who have come in and out of King's Landing, including the three main families—Targaryens, Baratheons, and Starks. Your tour ends when you return to your start point in Old Town.

Trsteno Arboretum Upgrade: To enhance your 'Game of Thrones' experience, select the upgrade option to visit Trsteno Arboretum, one of the oldest arboretums in Croatia. Travel to the park by minibus at the end of your walking tour to discover this additional filming location, used as King's Landing's palace gardens during the show's third season. Explore thousands of trees and exotic plants, and admire Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque details while you hear more about the War of the Five Kings. Your tour ends with drop-off at the original starting point in Old Town.
Stop At:

Built in the 11th century within just three months' time, this fort symbolizes the resistance to the Venetian Republic. Visiting the Lovrijenac fortress on this walking tour is a chance for you to enjoy many impressive views of the capital of the Seven Kingdoms.

A part of this exclusive experience is a walk along the city walls. The city walls of Dubrovnik are a series of defensive stone walls surrounding the Old Town. At some points, their height reaches 25 m (82 ft), so a walk along the walls is a must if you want to see those red rooftops of King's Landing or simply look out over Blackwater Bay.

Our guide Ivana was amazing and showed us all the great spots, not just GOT related but also historical sights in the city. The addition to the gardens is defenetly worth it. Travel during Corona was not not easy but at least we had the whole city to ourself without any crowds.

We've decided Croatia was the place to go during this pandemic as it allowed Americans in and has a relatively low infection rate. We made the best choice! We are Game of Thrones fans and decided to book this tour that highlights the locations that were filmed along with a walking tour within the inner city and walls. Our guide Daniella was amazing and we were the only ones on the tour since there weren't too many tourists. It was like our own private tour. Daniella was so knowledgable and super friendly, she also took a lot of photos for us as well. Make sure you tip your guides well during this pandemic as they are used to working with groups of 20 on a schedule of 3 times a day. It was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to see the city along with some Game of Thrones locations.
Fun, informative and without unanswered questions

We had a really nice tour with Ivana! It was a perfect adventure for us and Ivana was so nice! We felt so comfortable and had a lot of fun! Ivana told us also some facts about Dubrovnik and told us where we could have some authentic lunch. Thx for that!
Great tour to see Dubrovnik and experience GoT!

Due to the current situation I was fortunate enough to end up with a personal tour. So firstly I appreciate the tour being run with only a single person. The guide was great, describing all the locations where filming occured. Complete with screenshots of the TV show to really help you visualise how different spaces were used for different scenes. She was also very friendly generally chatting, as well as answering questions about the real and fictional history of the different locations. The ticket for the fort and city wall were already purchased so it was just a matter of walking into the locations. Obviously there were no queues anyway right now as the city was so quiet. The tickets only allow you one entry to each venue. And the tour only includes half the city wall. If you want to continue you cannot exit. ( Unless you want to buy another ticket ) so just be prepared for that if you would want to.
Very detailed explanation

Our tour was excellent. She clearly knew her stuff, and spent a lot of time making sure we get enough photos. She even recommended a fantastic place to eat after!
Great for a GoT fan
, Nov 2019
Seeing the guide's movie stills in combination with the location views was a great experience for a GoT fan. Seeing how the magic of movie-making combines with the on-the-ground filming sites was a true eye opening experience. And, being with a group of GoT fans was a thrill. Very much recommended.
