Highly Recommend!

Had a great tour! our guide Neil was fantastic. Glendalough was beautiful and the sheepdog demonstration was definitely worth it in my opinion. The drive through Wicklow was breathtaking! Rounded off with a nice historical tour of Kilkenny and some good local food. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ireland.

Wicklow and Glendalough were great!

We had a great time at this trip but thought Kilkenny was a bit of a disapointement. The wicklow mountains and Glendalough were fantastic! We had enough time to explore at our own paste. The sheep part was fun but a we would have liked it more to see the dogs doing what they were trained for altough it was very nice to know about the history aswell. The tourguide knew what he was talking about and explained everything with passion. Next was Kilkenny but we thought that was not worth the 2h drive.

Beautiful Glendalough

Sean was a very good, friendly and helpful guide!! Glendalough was extremely beautiful and must go there for a sightseeing! For me, I certainly would skip the sheepdog trails and enjoy more time with the nature! There were not too many things to see in Kilkenny if you are a frequent traveller.

I will say We were really looking forward to this tour but found it to be somewhat disappointing. The trip Itself wasn’t that bad and the coach transporting us was comfortable enough. Our tour guide Sean was nice though his music playlist with songs that really aren’t that popular in the states we could of done without hearing. It would of been better to hear traditional Irish music while vacationing. While in the mountains where touring where the monk stronghold and graveyard was it would of been nice to get more information then was given, especially of any notable people buried there. The sheepdog trails they advertise is best skipped as it was nothing more then a man speaking and taking so much time away from demonstrating. It makes me wish we skipped it and spent more time exploring the mountain and the little waterfall there as the views were beautiful. Kilkenny was a nice little town to visit. We found a nice little pub to eat at. All in all you’re probably best off skipping this particular tour.

Mostly wonderful!

The Monastic City was absolutely fabulous as was the sheep dog demonstration. Didn't think Kilkenny was anything worth any time - sort of run down and not terribly friendly folks. Our guide was earnest and tried hard - probably too hard. She was French, so you had to listen hard through her French accent. She was extremely antagonistic toward the English and brought them up constantly during the tour, even admitting she was bitter. Doesn't seem very professional. Would I do this tour again, though? Yes. I'd hope for a better guide, but she was knowledgable and enthusiastic and it didn't ruin it for me.

Great as a present!

I made this day as a present for my mum and it was great! Especially our tour guide Kevin was kind and fun. It was great because there was a balance between spending some time in nature, visiting a city, seeing a great landscape and just listening to interesting facts and information while sitting in the bus. Even the sheep farm was one of my favourites, although I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. But we spend an amazing day with Kevin and FinnMcCoolTours
