Overview
Because of its vast size (1,750 acres/708 hectares), Dublin’s Phoenix Park is better explored by bike than on foot. Prebook a bike rental and hit the saddle as soon as you arrive to cover as much ground as possible. Set off on cycle paths from the main entrance, and pedal past Áras an Uachtaráin (the residence of the President of Ireland) and Dublin Zoo. Watch out for the park’s herd of free-roaming fallow deer.
- Cover more ground in less time with a hassle-free bike rental
- Pick up maps and get tips on suitable routes
- Cruise past the historic buildings, such as Magazine Fort and Ashtown Castle
- Hassle-free bike pickup and drop-off at park entrance
