The driver was very political. When I'm on vacation I don't want to hear about politics. We never got to the wire bridge

Awesome Tour

The tour guide, Barry Coade was the best tour guide we've ever had. He provided a great history of N Ireland on our drive to Giant's Causeway and explained in detail the black taxi tour prior to our arrival. We had a small group and he allowed an additional stop along the way since the entire group agreed upon it. I would do a tour with Barry and this tour group again when I come back to Ireland. He is the best!!!

My husband and I traveled to Ireland for the first time, and this was a wonderful way to tour, visit, and learn about Northern Ireland. Yes, it's a long day, and yes, it does feel rushed at times, but it's a 3hr + drive from Dublin. Also, be advised, you will not spend nearly as much time as you'd like at Giant's Causeway. We plan on going back and visiting on our own. This is a great way to "get your feet wet," so to speak. Desmond was VERY knowledgeable. I only recommend this tour if you're looking to see and do as much as possible in one day. Worth every penny if that's the case.

Giants Causeway/ Belfast from Dublin

Long ride from Dublin but worth it. Giants Causeway is amazing. We chose the Black Taxi tour in Belfast because so many had recommended it I was slightly disappointed with this part of the tour. I thought I would understand the conflict a little better after the tour but perhaps it takes longer than an hour to get a grasp on the “troubles”. We were dropped off in the center of town with an hour to wait for the return of our tour guide. If there hadn’t been a festival in the park we would have wasted an hour walking around not knowing anything about the area. I expected the taxi tour to tell us more about the city and the conflict. The driver from Dublin (Rho) was very friendly and knowledgeable.

In my opinion, I felt that this trip was doomed from the start. The driver was half an hour late to pick me up because of the traffic (not their fault and I won't count against this review for that. I understand traffic happens). There were 3 other individuals in the tour, which was a nice and small group. My group had the option of doing the black cab tour or the Titanic tour. They chose the Titanic tour, but I wanted to do the black cab tour and the driver apologized that my option couldn't be chosen because everyone else chose the Titanic tour instead. I was disappointed with that. Then we went to the Giant's Causeway afterwards. I enjoyed that tour but sad that it was raining heavily while I was there. I still enjoyed it and wished I had more time there. I was sad that the rain cleared just as the tour van was about to depart the causeway, when I wanted to take more photos. Just as I was the last person to be dropped off at my hotel, the driver shared his feelings to me about one of the guests saying that he chewed the driver for being so late in picking us up and that the driver wanted to refuse taking the man and his wife on the tour but decided to be professional and take them to the attractions. I respected how honest the driver was with me to share that experience. If I had the option to do this tour again, I would probably do it if I had the option to do the black cab tour and actually receive that service. I wasn't even interested in the Titanic tour, even though it was sad about the lives lost and it was interesting learning about the history of the ship.

This was a long tour that was done very well. We really enjoyed the chance to visit the Giant's Causeway, and there was ample time to be able to go through the trails on site to be able to see some amazing views. We also had a great time in Belfast while visiting the Titanic Museum which was done very well. One thing to note: There is mentioned an option to go to either the Titanic Museum or on a black taxi tour through The Troubles. The black taxi tour is only available if enough tourist choose to go on it or else there might be an additional fee to go on this ride. Not a huge deal but something to keep in mind when making plans. Our guide, Pat, did a good job throughout this day. Thanks for the great time!

This was a nice small group tour led by the very animated guide and driver, Tiernan. Though the drive is a couple of hours from Dublin, Tiernan kept us entertained by telling us about the legend of the Giant's Causeway and talking about Northern Ireland, Belfast and The Troubles. The Giant's Causeway has trails for all levels of ability. We selected the red trail which was a bit challenging and offered amazing views. Before we left to head out to Belfast, we grabbed sandwiched at the Causeway Cafe.. Just a side note, the Giant's Causeway restrooms won the distinction of Loo of the Year! Before we got to Belfast, we stopped to take in the view of White Park Bay, which overlooked a beautiful beach and offered a glimpse of the Scottish coastline. We fortunately had a gorgeous sunny day Once we got to Belfast, we were given a choice of the Titanic Museum or the Black Taxi Tour. We chose the latter as our taxi driver took us into the neighborhoods where most of the fighting took place. We even got to graffiti the Peace Wall Beyonce and Lady GaGa also did as well. This was a great trip and a great day!
