  • "If you have small kids, or have a tendency to take your time at museums/sites, then this one may not be for you." See review
  • "The only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars is because its a long day and so if you have the time you may want to consider a multi-day trip so you're less rushed." See review
  • "Kissing the Blarney Stone is also a great experience, and is a must do if its not too busy." See review

A bit of a climb to the Blarney Stone for those not very fit but worth the experience. Lovely gardens to see unfortunately was raining on our visit so ended up in gift shops and cafe for baileys hot chocolate, delicious but overall well worth the trip

Watch out for the sneaky pint

Richard was hilarious and a fun driver/guide to have. Upon boarding, we were given the "sneaky pint" option. This is where you cut your tour time by an hour so the whole bus can go to a pub for a pint. We were traveling at a time where the winds could knock you down thanks to Storm Jorge. Everyone decides on a sneaky pint. Richard gave our 6 year old the privalage to seranade the bus. He really made the trip memorable for her! We continued our way to the Rock of Cashel where Richard gave us an amazing photo opportunity right on the roadside. We had about 30 minutes to enjoy the Rock and the views. We continued to Cork where we were guided directly into the English Market straight to O'Flynns Gourmet Sausage to get a Cork Boi (highly suggested!). We then continued our way up to Blarney to see the Blarney Castle and watch others get the gift of Gab. Blarney Woollen Mills has a lot of items, but Richard suggested the clearance room upstairs and all the way to the Southside of the building. Just be careful, some of these items are damaged. If you are a fiber artist, there is yarn for sale just under the stairs near the kids section (AMAZING prices too!) Then we all got on the bus to head towards the sneaky pint at Kavanaugh's in Naas Ireland. This is where the sneaky pint got sneakier, we could only spend 25 minutes because at 30, the GPS would log the location on the bus. Still, we were able to enjoy a pint and get food to eat before heading back to Dublin. Richard always had fun music playing and some old music videos going. He was very attentive to the personalities on the bus and even had fun poking at a single lady at the front. The tour overall was great, but I think a you with a guide and a driver is better. This ensures your safety and the driver is also able to have his much earned break times between stops.

Loved this tour. Only thing I would change is more time would’ve been nice at Cork. It was a little bit challenging time wise to locate the Cork ‘English Market ‘ from the drop off point. Otherwise a superb tour and informative guide. Loved our 2 hours exploring in and around Blarney Castle. Transport vehicle for tour was very comfortable.

First of all let me say that we had the best driver and tour guide on the planet. He made the experience memorable. Tierney was our tour guide. His humor and warmth made the tour unforgettable. I would take another tour with him in a heart beat. We had a tour in London with Viator that was terrible. It was all because of the tour guide. She ended up leaving 2 passengers behind because they were 10 minutes late in Stonehenge. Her attitude was terrible throughout the tour. It’s all about the tour guide. Paddy Tours was amazing!!! Not our first experience with them.

We had a wonderful experience exploring the Blarney Castle as we were there during the off season and no lines. When we got to the top of the castle there were only 4 others in front of our group waiting to kiss the stone. I heard in the summer months you can easily wait 3 hours. Out tour guide was very amusing and shared a lot of history during our trip.

Driver John was very helpful, entertaining, and accommodating. He gave us tips on what to see at the sites and post our trip as well. He was very helpful even if there were two passengers who were late and we had to wait for them - didn't even apologize to the group when they got us delayed for a few minutes. The time spent on the stops are OK but could be longer at the Blarney Castle so you can explore the gardens. the queue to kiss the stone is very long and it took us 45 minutes to get there. 3 hours at the Blarney castle is not enough. Cork City was also very interesting, could be longer as well so we can further explore the city.
