  Departures from Dubai Mall start at : 10 am until 4pm. There are 9 stops on the route with a 2 hour frequency. Full Route takes 2 hours. Commentary was a few years old as it mentioned new buildings opening in 2018. all the extra features in the description (dhow cruise, night bus tour…) were cancelled without refund.

Weak Tour for Hop On Hop Off, “No Stops” Helped Keep Cool

I have completed several Hop On bus tours in the world. This one was so-so. No good directions on where to meet the bus (btw it’s in some parking garage at the Dubai mall that is not well labeled- I think there was one sign I saw hanging in one of the many, many mall garages with an arrow that said “bus tours.”) Lot of “dead” space is covered in this tour with long pauses of no information. Currently running 3 daily tours that go straight through about 2 hours. Actually preferred the “no stop schedule” they are currently running as it’s well over 95F daily, so the breeze is nice. Information on tour is usually my favorite part, but not much great info- and all the growth and expansion of Dubai is easy to talk about. I’m loyal to Hop On Hop Off tours, but this one was weak. Ticket agent at the garage meet/start point (short petite pretty young Asian girl) was very friendly and helpful.

Usually I'm trying to avoid Big Bus as it's famous for terrible service, but not this time. Our guide Scott was a great storyteller and the route was amazing. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we were unable to leave the bus, but it doesn't made our journey less interesting. Thanks to the ground staff at the bus station, careful driver and amazing guide for great bus tour.

My experience (COVID-19)

It was a good experience. Due to COVID-19 you are not allowed to get off the bus at all. Instead they take you around the city by and you can listen to the guide talk or listen to the prerecorded audio as you drive by. Keep in mind you will not get to see all the places listed on the website because the bus is sticking to the driving route. Those other locations required you to walk to them once you get off the bus (which you can’t do). Lastly the tour was not a full two hours which is less than the 2hour and 20 minute ride specified on the maid website. It was still a good way to see the city but keep this in mind when booking. Oh and it is a few cents cheaper to book with Viator then direct with the company.

Great tour. Very informative! Due to Covid there is no hop on hop off, it's just a 2 hour tour. It would have been cool to get off on the stops, but in these times I am just glad any tour was available at all.

It was a shame that most attractions were closed due to COVIT-19 controls. Good tour though of this City. Would have been nice if the tarrif was reduced to reflect the limited sops.

The hop on off bus tours were excellent, we did two of three and thoroughly enjoyed both. The buses were very comfortable and the commentary was very informative. Sadly the same cannot be said of the dhow cruise which was very poor, the commentary tape was broken so we had multiple repeats which was disappointing. We also went nowhere the Arabian Gulf as advertised.
