Great fun adventure with Teens!
, Mar 2020
Enjoyed both trips with my teens. The snorkeling guide was very friendly and tried to entertain the boat guests. The ATVs were a bit tight for 2 riders on each one so I would recommend getting a buggie for 2 or single riders on atv. This guide, Dave, was awesome! He was very intelligent, informative and really cared about everyone's safety. He told us where we are going, what we will see and what to expect at each stop. The cave was amazing, don't be a chicken like me and JUMP into the water, my son said it was an experience. Don't need to bring towels for the atv/cave tour...
We booked the full day excursion and it was broken up into 2 parts. This allowed us to go back to our hotel change and eat before the second excursion. Loved that!
ATV was amazing!! Small group of only 6 carts/ATVs and our guide David was fantastic- honest straightforward and helpful. He tried keeping us away from the chaos including crowds and aggressive vendors. I’d give this tour a 5 all day long and would book again.
The catamaran was fun overall but not as expected. We spent a whopping 15 min snorkeling, then had to sit idle on the boat while they took us to an excursion only 4 people on the boat had booked... and we had to wait for them!! (This was swimming with sting rays and sharks which are CAPTIVE and NOT anything we would have signed up for!!!) We ended the day at a shallow area where tons of boats gather to drink it up and have fun. This was super fun but not for kids IMO. I would not book this second portion of the excursion again simply because it wasn’t what we thought it was.
Nice landscapes and fun atv ride but useless guide
, Dec 2019
The atv ride was fun but we could have had the same amount of fun without the guide. He was basically useless. He just drove in front of us the whole time and when we reached the attraction points he would just leave us there saying we had 25 mins. No explanation about anything. After 25 mins he would appear out of nowhere gathering us to leave. At the end of the tours he was also asking for tips. What for?! He just drove, the same as us! The catamaran and snorkeling were nice however, we are happy we didn't buy shark and stingray encounter because poor animals were held captive, forced to swim with the tourists and were forcefully grabbed by the guide who would place the stingray on the tourists' backs. This was truly one of the saddest scenes I've seen. This should be banned!
Definitely an excursion you want to be part of while in Punta Cana. My boyfriend I had a wonderful time swimming in the cave, riding around the villages of Punta Cana and catamaran cruise was definitely a cherry on top. Great entertainment, I recommend it !
We booked this tour on my nieces 18th birthday as a way to celebrate, and it was a fabulous, action-packed day...a great way to celebrate! When people ask my niece what was one of the favorite things she did on her trip, she says this tour because we got to do so much! First of all, it is two separate tours, and they take you back to your hotel for a couple hours in between...just enough time to change, eat and get ready for the next adventure. We really liked doing it in one day as it was a great variety of things to do and we got to really see the Dominican Republic. First of all, the ATV tour. It rained the night before, so there was a lot of mud. However, on the ATV's, we did not get very muddy because we were higher up...unlike the people on our tour in the dune buggies. We each had booked our own ATV, and we were glad we did that...it was worth the extra money. The ATV's really take you through a lot of the countryside, and it was educational. We felt a little guilty going back to our resort after seeing the way of life on the tour. Th Thhe lite beach you go to (Macao beach) is spectacular! You do not stay there long but it is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend paying the $50 on the ATV section of the tour for the pictures. If you sign up in the beginning before you start the tour, you get your own personally photographer and the pictures are stunning. It is worth the $50. After the beach, you drive some more and make a stop wheere you can taste different things from the country and then swim in a cave. The place you stop is beautifullly landscaped. You then return to where you started. I think the ATV part and all the stops is about 3 hours. They take you back to your hotel and then another company picks you up for the catamaran cruise. This is super fun as well. The snorkeling is fun but so is the stop in the natural pool...kind of a party atposphere. We got the photographs from this portion as well for $30. Overall, the whole day was fantastic. It included so much! I do have to give a shot out to the tour company....the disc of pictures I was given at the ATV tour was the wrong disc. I did not discover it until I got home and put the disc in the computer. I contacted them, sent them a copy of the recipt, and they were able to track them down for us and e-mail them to us. This is great customer service, and it meant a lot becuase the pics from Macao beach were fantastic. I truly appreciate them doing this for me
Amazing adventure. This was a packed full day of fun. The tour guides were all fun and very knowledgable of the area. This was definitely a memorable excursion. Prepare to get very muddy though but that is expected when going on an ATV adventure. The cenote was amazing but only a short time is given to enjoy the location. The only minor change would be the time allotted to each stop. It was pretty rushed and only about 20 mins was given at each stop during the ATV ride. We would do it again though due to the experience.
Great trip to do a variety of things to do packed into a day trip! The ATV trip allowed you to see a lot of Punta Cana up close and I would highly recommend. Talking to the photographers before hand will get you a lot of great pictures for 50 bucks. Also I should mention the trip is split into two parts, in between you are brought back to your hotel to eat lunch before being picked up for the second part.
The ATV part of the tour was amazing! The snorkeling part was ok, they took us to a dead reef but there were a lot of fish. Very short ride, only 5 minutes. Then they took us to shark and ray pen, but only a few people bought it because it costs more. The natural pool was gorgeous but it was a party boat. I didn't realize that when booking it. We had our 7 year old with us, and I wish I had known as people were getting wasted and pretty crazy grinding on the dance floor of the boat. The scenery was so pretty and the water was so warm we had a good time, I just didn't realize the boat was going to be a party boat. I would have taken a different excursion for the snorkeling and more serene atmosphere rather than college spring break. The ATV tour was perfect the guides checked on us with our 7 year old multiple times and it was very fun!
