Celebrate the 1920s in Chicago, an era of gangsters, jazz and flappers, during this dinner performance of Tommy Gun’s Garage in the Windy City. This lively, fun-filled show, complete with plenty of crowd interaction, is a sure-fire crowd pleaser.

Choose an evening performance time for your show that fits your schedule. Then head to the theater, located through the “El” train tracks, feeling like you’ve reemerged in the 1920s. The venue is decked out head to toe in period-appropriate decorations, including silent movies, 1920s memorabilia, a replica wall from the infamous St. Valentines Day Massacre, pictures of gangsters and cops and a 1928 Ford Model A.

Start your night watching the show’s cast of “Molls” and “Mugs” dance and sing along to famous period performers like Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Cole Porter and George Gershwin, all accompanied by music from Chicago’s own Sinfully Orchestra.

As you watch, tuck into a meal of steak, pasta, chicken or fish (see menu in the Itinerary below). Then follow along with “Gloves” and “Vito” for a comedy show that’s sure to delight, complete with lots of song, dance and audience participation.

All of a sudden, your performance will be “raided” by the cops, accompanied by the appropriate sirens and flashing lights. You might even get called up on stage for a hilarious “sobriety test,” administered by Officer Murphy, and get “interviewed” by Vito.

Poor Service By Our Waiter

The show was fun and our 16 year olds enjoyed it. Service by main server who also played several characters in the show one being Murphy. We received 2 lectures on communication because we took a break on talking and were getting our photos together from earlier at the art institute. Our 16 year olds were working on making a video for school. 1x was enough to comment but 2nd time you can tell server was agitated and reprimanded all of us. Everyone was attentive to him when he was speaking so not sure what his issue was. Service - Large group next to us received all the attention. A young couple behind us received the same type of service we did, minimal. Never asked if we wanted our cocktails refreshed, desserts off menu and never asked if we wanted anything when it was last call where other servers hustled between the skits to service clients. Not our guy, usually seen him standing by bar more than coming to his tables at our end. What he did come back for was an additional tip as he explained to the 3 tables. It was not warranted. Who we did give large tips to was the 2 bus boys for their excellent service. They were very attentive and polite and worked diligently and with smiles! Food - Salmon - good, chicken marsala sauce wasn't a hit tasted more like brown gravy, lasagna - way too much cheese and sauce and not enough pasta but tasty.

Rocked to the front of the venue wasn’t real sure it was the place was nearly going to turn away but when we saw one of the cast there in costume we knew it was the place. Really enjoyed the night. Was a bit of fun. The show was well done.

ALL the staff were very cordial and made it fun to be there. The program was a little "cheesy" - but still a fun experience for the holiday season. Food was good, too! (I had the salmon)

Fun, but overpriced.

This was all a bit corny and amateurish, but that’s Part of the charm. The service was solid with the crew in character interacting with the customers and making sure everyone had fun. Drinks were good, food was acceptable.

Fun with the Gangsters

My husband and I knew this would be a fun evening when we had to have a password to enter the establishment. We were greeted by characters in gangster attire and escorted to our table. As we were getting ready to be served, the entertainment started with jokes and music. The food was good and the service was great. The show was Interactive and you really got a feel for the life of the gangsters in the twenties and thirties. We would definitely go back to see another show.
