Make your way to a centrally located meeting point, in time to meet up with your foodie guide and small group of 12 people or fewer.

Your first tasting is a classic Chicago deep-dish pizza, the source of many rivalries with New York. Learn what makes a Chicago deep-dish so special before heading over to another historic spot to taste the dipped Italian beef sandwich. Hear about the origins of this classic sandwich and its founding right here in Chicago.

Next up is a classic Chicago hot dog, topped with seven specific items, and never ketchup. Then, stop by a bar founded in 1898, which made it through Prohibition and Al Capone's bootlegging reign. See some examples of Chicago's famous public art, including a Picasso, a Miro, and a Chagall, before stopping for a salty-sweet mystery 'secret food' beloved by Chicagoans.

Stroll through Millennium Park to see the famous Cloud Gate sculpture.

Awesome Food Tour

My husband and I do food tours every time we visit a city that has them. This one was right up there with the best. Our tour guide, Denise, was very knowledgeable about the Windy City. The beautiful buildings you pass by and learn about, the stories she tells, and of course the food you eat, makes this a must do tour. Trust me this is not a tasting, do not eat before you go.

Denise was such an excellent tour guide, she made this such a fun experience! It was part history and part food tour. Each location was interesting in either a historical or pop culture context as well as all the delicious food we sampled. I can not recommend this tour enough!

Jordan was fantastic. Kept the group on our toes and very engaged from start to finish! My one thing is that we have rather tried a hot dog (or other native food) than 2 desserts.

Denise our tour guide was wonderful!! She was knowledgeable, professional and funny. We saw so much of the city, ate the most amazing food and went to secret places we could have never found on our own. My college son had never been to Chicago and is a foodie so he was thrilled with this tour. We would highly recommended it to everyone. Ask for the Denise.. best tour guide ever!!

We ate some good food, learned some interesting history, and a nice walk in Chicago on the Secret Food Tour. Our group of 4 joined 6 other nice folks and started at Gino's pizza - yum - from there - well I don't want to spoil the surprises so... Our guide Kylie could not have been more enthusiastic and everyone really enjoyed themselves - recommended!
