Make your own way to Wrigley Building Plaza to meet your guide for your 1.5-hour walking tour of the Chicago River Walk.

Start your tour with an introduction to Chicago's history, then take in iconic sites including the Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower, InterContinental Hotel Magnificent Mile, Pioneer Court, and the Chicago River.

Stroll across the Michigan Avenue Bridge (now Du Sable Bridge) to the River Walk. Hear fun facts and interesting stories about Chicago history, such as the Chicago River and its harbor, the Battle of Fort Dearborn in 1812, the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, the SS Eastland disaster, and the filming of Batman and Transformers movies in the city.

You'll also see architectural gems along the route and learn about their backstory. Stop to check out buildings such as the Aqua and Aon buildings, Mather Tower, Jewelers Building (35 East Wacker), Marina City, Wolf Point, the Art Deco-style Lyric Opera House, and many more.

Your guide keeps things lively with trivia challenges and prizes. Expect to walk at a leisurely pace with stops for rest breaks and a refreshment along the way. Return to the Wrigley Building on a short ride by water taxi (ticket included) at the end of the tour.

The best tour in Chicago! Started of great with free coffee/drink and a wonderful river taxi ride before walking the river walk. Cindy was so knowledgeable, fun...with trivia for everyone. The River Walk is beautiful and we saw buildings that were absolutely gorgeous with the reflection of the city.

Our guide Cindy led us in a very small group on this tour. She was great, really engaged with the group. The history, stories, information, anecdotes and humour really enhanced our knowledge and understanding. It's an easy walk, includes a short boat trip and is great way to spend a morning in Chicago.

The tour was good and the guide quite friendly and informed. I would recommend and look forward to taking more tours. Just a couple of friendly suggestions. The tour is actually two full hours -not an hour and a half. I would amend the description to reflect the correct time so those taking the tour can plan accordingly.

We had a great time. Sharon, our guide was knowledgable, personable and could share SO much about Chicago and especially that portion of the city. Fascinating and fun! We weren't sure we'd like it, but the price was right, so we gave it a try. We are SO glad we did!!
