Why Travelers Choose This Tour
This tour makes covering these top Yucatan attractions easier (and less expensive) than trying to arrange transportation independently, especially if you're traveling with your family or large groups. Bring a few pesos if you want to rent a locker or life jacket for easy floating at the cenote.
After early morning hotel pickup, travel with your guide to Valladolid, Yucatán’s third-largest city also called the Sultaness of the East. Get to know this quiet 16th-century city on a guided tour. Then enjoy a chance to participate in the ancient Mayan purification ritual of Temazcal guided by a real shaman.
Then, head to the UNESCO-listed Chichen Itza, the city-cradle of ancient Mayans. During this tour, explore the area and gain insight into its top landmarks, including the Kukulkan pyramid, an astronomical observatory, and the ball court. Learn about the dangerous game of pok-ta-pok played by warriors. You’ll also have free time to enjoy Chichen Itza on your own.
Take a break from sightseeing with a swim in Ik-Kil, an underground cenote before ending the tour with drop-off at your Cancun hotel in the evening.
Visit to Valladolid where you'll spend about 20 minutes in the center of the colonial city built in 16th century.

Great day trip!
, Mar 2020
This was a very enjoyable day trip! We were picked up on time and after an hour of getting everyone on board we drove towards Chichen Itza. First stop was a large souvenir shop and lunch stop. Food was good and if you want to shop here is a good place although Chichen Itza is full of stalls where you can buy any souvenirs very cheap. The tour was in Spanish and English and our guide Tino swapped between the two easily. At Chichen Itza we were put in an English speaking tour which was great as it went for an hour and we were given lots of information. Ik Lil Cenote was beautiful although it is very crowded. Still we had a quick swim before we continued on to Valladolid. This is the one place we could have had a bit more time to look around however it seems most tours only do a short stop here of about 30 minutes. Overall it was a great trip and took about 12 hours, so arrived back at our hotel in time for dinner.
We had an amazing time! Our tour guide did such an amazing job translating between English and Spanish, and really made it enjoyable (and fun!) for all of us. We highly recommend this tour! It’s a long day, full of wonderful site seeing and learning more about the Mayan history. Thank you so much!
Our pick up was timely. Our guide Ruben was extremely knowledgeable, had great English + Spanish and was the best part of our tour. He explained things very well about Chichen Itza. The cenotes were absolutely beautiful and refreshing. Food was buffet style and okay.
The reason that we dropped stars is because this says “no hidden fees” which was a motivating factor for purchasing this tour as we’ve all had tours where “shopping” or extra fees have been pushed on us. We were disappointed that they tried to swindle us into buying $21USD “Birth certificates” and $18USD liquor with our photo on it on the bus. Had they done one or the other it may have been okay but pushing both made us feel like cash cows rather than guests. I’ve seen many other reviews that say they did not enjoy the tourist trap “shopping stop” and we agree. It took less than five minutes to go through the store, yet we had 25 minutes (the same amount of time we had in Valladolid).
First of all, thank you for booking with us.
We are glad to hear, that you liked our guide service and enjoyed the tour´s logistics overall.
As you said, our tour really does include all the fees and taxes, there are no hidden fees at all. All the entrance fees, taxes, lunch, everything described in the "included" area is included in the tour price and you are not charged additionally for any of that.
As for the shopping, it is not obligatory and can´t be described as hidden charge, because it is not mandatory and you don´t necessarily need to participare in the shopping at all. We do not in any way oblige you to make a purchase, it is up to you to decide whether you buy a souvenir or not.
Please don´t hesitate to contact us, if there is anything else we can help you with.

Ruben was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining with his presentation. We learned alot about the Mynas and their history. I would recommend him to anyone. Our driver Victor was also great. Everything was on time and comfortable.
Thank you for your feedback.
We must highlight, that nowhere in the description of the product you booked there is a mention, that it is a small group tour (15 people). Could you please provide us with the link you booked the tour from so we can check the information?
For all our travelers who feel strongly about certain tour properties like the number of people on the tour, etc we usually recommend to contact us before the tour to clarify all the doubts. You may find our contact details in your tour voucher.
Pickup was on time. It’s a large group so you travel on a bus. Driver was good felt safe the whole ride. Esther the host did a great job. It’s a long day but totally worth it! Had a tour of the ruins then a hour to explore. Nice amount of time at the cenote. Then little bit of time to out Valladolid the church there was cool. The order and amount of time for the activities is perfect highly recommend.
