Great tour

The tour was good, the guide Juan Carlos was fun but I didn't like that they didn't give us time for shopping at every place we went. I think the tour should have less stops so we can spent more time in the shops.

Make sure pick up location ahead of time if you are in big resort

I loved visiting all the places Tulum,Coba,Cenote and Playa del Carmen. But I have biggest concern of this trip. Which I was expected to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel as it was described. I still wanted to make sure time and where to be, because my hotel resort was so big that I need to get on shuttle to the main lobby(this lobby os the only place to be picked or dropped in this hotel). This is what they said “ Yes you will have pick up , the pick up time will be send 1 day before the tour.”. I don’t see where they would come but since pick up point in this hotel is only one, I assumed it would be there. What happened when they sent me information where to be, it was across the highway in front of this hotel. They asked me to come out the resort and across the hotel because they wanted to save time(for me?? Really??). They said there was underground pass to across, I spoke to manager of the hotel asking them how I get to the underground pass by the highway. She told me it’s dangerous and not want me to goby walking. Since I have a son w me, my priority of the tour is safety and hotel pick up/drop off. It’s because of they sent me information where/what time to meet 17 hours before the tour, I couldn’t get refund. So I decided to take a taxi just across the highway which cost $7 USD. Then I also wrote them “I strongly request to drop us off at the lobby in the hotel resort” . They never got back to me, but told me on the tour they would drop us off at the entrance, not inside (lobby). Whaaat??? I said it won’t take long time to get to lobby from the entrance so why? They say, they are cheaper tour company (it’s called Amazing Tours) so they don’t have the permission to get into the hotel resort. I’m like why you tell me know?? I did ask them “where/what time” a few days before the trip, they only said details will be the day before the trip. It was unfair. I had to walk from entrance to lobby with my son in dark for 15 min where there is only car pass so obviously it was dangerous but we had no choice. So if you are staying in a big resort, make sure they will come proper pick up point, or you may have to walk. Getting back to hotel is late(with traffic 9-10pm)and so it’s dark. Tour it’s self, I liked the guide talk and explore at Tulum. It was nice. We had to rush through Coba in 50min by bike because that’s what they say to make all four locations. For Cenote, same. We had about 50 min to swim and change. I only swam 7min then come out. Changing room isn’t many so it could be occupied. Also it wasn’t clean. Floor is wet, curtains were dirty. A lot of people on our bus came back wet swim wear sad with towels because they run out of time to change or weren’t paying attention to time so much. Last stop, city Playa del Carmen was really nice stop. Although it wasn’t mentioned in the information here Viator. There was 50 min explore time here at downtown looking place. Fun to walk, have a drink, or get some souvenirs here. Make sure to be back to bus on time otherwise, they will count on you that you want to stay longer in the city and go home by yourself after(your choice but they would leave you here if you weren’t on time). One last thing, if your trip package isn’t all inclusive (free drinks on the bus, life jacket for Cenote, renting bicycle or tricycle at Coba) They would recommend you to buy it on the bus. I had drinks w me so I didn’t take it. You also have some time to buy drinks at Tulum,Coba and Playa del Carmen. There are some free time. In the end, bicycle for my son and myself was only $7 USD. Soft drinks at lunch buffet was only $5 USD for both. Life jacket was only $50 pesos(probably around $3 USD). This was a right choice for me unless you drink a lot of water and soda! Overall, my son got really exhausted after rushing through Coba he didn’t want to do anything after. It turned out this trip was stressful for both as we ended walking back to lobby from entrance of hotel at 9:30pm. So make sure everything especially when you have children(it’s hard). Good luck.
