This is a long day indeed, but worth every moment! Such an amazing culture, the Maya civilization history is a legacy , WE had a simple lunch , but delicious , tacos made all organic, in front of you and a green juice that will be hard to forget! The Maya store had beautiful authentic art. So glad we came home wth our Mayan Birth certificate! get yours!!! The Ik KILL CEnote is breathtaking! I had my husband and 2 teenagers and we had so much fun and so much beauty. VAlladolid is also very interesting . WE were super tired in the end, but such a good tour! Thanks also to our Guide Jose Carlos, a sweet person!

Great day excursion! Everyone in our group loved this tour! Chichen Itza was interesting and I’m glad we had our Mayan descent guide to explain this the whole way, we do wish there was more free time to explore the area. Ik Kil was so cool! It was gorgeous and fun to swim around. I’d definitely recommend this tour and I think you get a lot for the cost.

This was am amazing tour, reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend. The history of the Chichen Itza was euphoric, the Cenote was refreshing and just overall experience from beginning to end. This will be a long and hot day...so pack patience and snacks.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED

I give it 3 stars because I bought this tour specifically for the cenote il kil. Before the trip they did NOT tell us that the cenote was closed, they took us to another called HUBIKO and it wasn't too bad. Lunch in that place was very delicious. I did not like the itinerary, it was assumed that first we would go to the pyramid (Chichen Itza) and then we would go to the cenote to swim. It was the opposite, first they took us to the cenote and then we had lunch at 11 AM very early because we were going to Chichen Itza later. VIATOUR should let us know the truth of the tour before buying it. If you want nice photos in CHICHEN ITZA you will not be able to swim in the cenote before. The guide Karla and the driver Humberto were the best of the experience. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED

Amazing experience

Tour guide Karla was amazing. She was knowledgeable, spoke great English and was funny. She made sure we understood everything. This is a long tour so if youre interested, be prepared by getting enough rest the night prior. The cenote was beautiful, Chichen Itza was magnificent and the small town of Valladolid was such a cute colorful colonial town. Would recommend.

Good Tour with Poor COVID Saftey Enforcement
John
, Nov 2020
Carlos was a great tour guide during our tour to Chichen Itza. However, there was an extremely disrespectful party on our bus that was ruining the trip for others and not following COVID safety requirements. They were yelling and shouting the entire 6 hours on the bus in addition to not wearing masks like all of the other passengers and tour operators. I wish the tour company forced them to wear masks and if they did not comply they would not allow them to come on the tour. These passengers did not wear masks from the time that they boarded in Cancun in the morning. This inappropriately risked the safety of everyone on this bus.

Nice but poor COVID safety standards

Carlos was a great tour guide during our trip. However, there was an extremely rowdy and inconsiderate party on our bus that was disrespectful to other individuals/parties in our tour by not following mask requirements, delaying the entire group, and shouting/yelling throughout the entire ride to/from Chichen Itza. I wish there was more enforcement of mask wearing requirements since everyone else besides that specific party on our tour was following mask wearing requirements.

I normally don’t do reviews but this could help someone else before they book. Though the tour guides were friendly, the tour it self could of took 4 hours. It the longest excursion ever! it took 2 hours to get to 1 activity and an hour travel time between the next two. I spent most my time on the bus. How can someone be so exhausted without doing anything physical. I recommend the host find a way to shorten the transportation. You miss a whole day on this excursion (6 hours total on the bus!! Plus the cenote advertised was not open but still advertising. No bueno!

Hola Lakia, thank you for your feedbak. We understand tour may be a bit of exhausting beacuse of the distance between Cancun and Chichen Itza, we make this feel less by travelling on brand new buses with AC and bathroom aboard; our guides make the trip interesting by giving facts about ancient Mexico and the Mayan civilization; after Chichen Itza, we go to a cenote and Valladolid on the way back to Cancun and Riviera Maya. If you are staying in Cancun and Riviera Maya, you cannot miss visiting one of the 7 Wonders of the world. Best wishes, Miguel W
