Took the tour with my...

Took the tour with my wife. It was well organized, All pick ups were on time. Friendly drivers. The room was small but clean and functional. The sites were amazing. But the best part was the tour guide, Osama Ghazaly, he made the trip memorable. His knowledge of Egyptian history was impressive. He is a born story teller and his passion for the subject is infectious. 10 stars for him!!!
A must do
, Jun 2022
Wonderful staff, tour guides, cruise, food. Very educational, tour guide Ismail Haroun is very knowledgeable, professional and goes above and beyond to accommodate guests.
Trip of a lifetime
, Jun 2022
This trip was spectacular. I saw so much on this short cruise I couldn’t believe it. My guide Osama was fantastic! So full of knowledge, incredibly Kind, took amazing pictures, and was always flexible and accommodating. The transfers included in this package made this a no brainer! Everything was taken care of for me and as a solo female traveler I felt very safe and well taken care of the entire time. Would definitely recommend!

Not great, not terrible
, Jun 2022
The tour was okay, but the temples get old after a while, and there’s a lot of upselling. If you’re already in Egypt, it’s not a bad choice, but I wouldn’t recommend coming just for the cruise.
Not worth it. Do not recommend
, Jun 2022
How disorganized they were and quick to charge for everything. We lost a day because they booked our train ticket late and had to get an early time, despite us reminding them consistently since the first day. They charged us for drinks we never ordered.

Sabry - the best Spanish tour guide in Egypt
, Apr 2022
We are two Spanish people. The best part of the cruise Sabry our tour guide! The best tour guide ever! Thanks so much for making this experience unforgettable for us! I really recommend Egipto once in life.
Ship was disappointing, Cash only gaming of guests. Tour guide was exceptional ..
, Apr 2022
The ship was poorly maintained, in need of a thorough cleaning and an over haul. Food preparation was surprisingly good. Tour guide was skilled and personable, often finding ways to enhance the overall tour. However organization of tours could be generally improved and should be paced by the mix of age and physical capabilities. Some financial gaming was present throughout the tour. Ships cashier claimed credit cards could not be used because of a technical issue, cash only. This placed hardship on a numerous of us. Tourists had to pay entrance fees, restroom fees and miscellaneous other small fees resulting in the rapid depletion of cash. Unsubstantiated Claims of counterfeit foreign currency rendered some cash useless. Felt threatened by ongoing feeling of manipulation by the crew. We would use the guide and Viator again but not the ship operator “Sunrise Cruises”. We will not repeat this experience unless significantly improved.

Well organised tour with easy communication
, Apr 2022
Tour overall: * Really well organised, easy to contact Here Egypt Tours via WhatsApp and they provide contact details of the driver picking you up so you can directly liaise with them to ensure that everything runs smoothly. * Here Egypt Tours put together the package so it can be bespoke and are very accommodating to your requests. I had no problems with communication with them before travelling and whilst in Egypt. Boat: * Our boat, was much nicer than expected, advertised at 5 star but with little pictures available, therefore, there were concerns. However, service was very good. There was a small (approx 5m diameter) circular pool and decent size sun deck. * The boat holds 4 floors and the sun deck, so quite large for cruising the Nile. This seemed pretty standard compared to other cruise ships on the Nile. * Food, where consumed on the boat, was buffet style, with a very good selection of bread, salads, soups, hot main, pasta and dessert. Food was fresh and I was pleasantly surprised. My only disappointment was that drinks had to paid for in addition, this included water, with the exception of tea and coffee at breakfast. Breakfast boxes were provided where morning starts were so early that breakfast wouldn’t normally be served. * Staff on the cruise are very friendly, but note that Egypt has a very big tipping culture and you are expected to tip the whole crew at the end of your stay. The amount is at your discretion and into an envelope so you don’t feel pressured. Guide: * You are assigned a guide once you arrive in Aswan and they stay with you throughout the cruise, taking you on all the stops, which makes it easy to coordinate. We had a group of 7, which was a nice small number, and thankfully, we were all of similar ages and backgrounds, so that helped to bond. * He was very informative and knowledgeable. I think this made a big difference to possibly touring temples on your own. Each temple/historical monument is immensely detailed and it’s very easy to be overwhelmed. * We were offered an add on trip on the first day, which we as a group declined and to stop off at a perfume workshop, which again none of us had any interest in. Like most tours, it’s quite common for tour companies to receive commission for sales made in affiliated shops. After this initial suggestion, there were no further offerings throughout the 4 days. * We were asked to show our appreciation to the driver on various days by tipping, however, again I did not feel pressured to tip. Tour generally: * The tour is very well organised and crams a lot in, be prepared to wake up very early (3am on some days) for 4 days straight. I would like to have had a more detailed itinerary available before and after booking just so I was aware. * I would recommend this tour to others, as it's an easy way to see a lot of the sights along the Nile in a short time frame. I think, in present times, the alternative is simply too complicated and time consuming.
Horrible, the only thing good was guide(mustafa)
, Mar 2022
To begin with, the famous train in first class is disgusting, the bathrooms are old, the train smelled bad, and dinner is supposed to be included, that is FALSE. the agency lied to us about that since they charged us 20 dollars and there were only 2 of us. the man who contacted me from the beginning, his name was mohamed, was impatient, not very empathic and always tried to pick a fight. that was the guide from cairo, which by the way the communication that supposedly should exist between the guides is terrible, some say one thing and others another. the ship's food was ok. However, for everything you have to pay a "tip" that is not voluntary, it is mandatory and that makes your budget rise too much. About $350 more, that's crazy. Lastly, mustafa who was the boat guide helped us a lot since they had told us that our return train tickets were ready and they were not. they left us worried and it wasn't until the last minute that they took us to the station and gave us our tickets. The other thing is that the transfer from Cairo to the station is supposed to be included, which is also FALSE, since they charge you 40 dollars for the journey. The agency made a mockery of our budget so the advice is. DO NOT buy this tour, buy the tour that goes by plane even if it is more expensive for your safety and tranquility.

Excellent Nile tour
, Mar 2022
Amazing tour. Excellent communication via WhatsApp before we left that helped us to organize everything. On the tour, the small group makes such a difference and Abdul was an amazing guide who had an answer for every question and made sure we were running on time and co-ordinated. The boat was very comfortable and actually much more luxurious than we were expecting with a large room with a view, roof deck with pool and buffet meals. It was an amazing experience and highly recommended!
Amazing experience
, Mar 2022
The entire trip was amazing. We got to see so many sites and our tour guide Ahmed was very friendly and knowledgeable. The cruise ship room was also very nice and comfortable. The food could have been a little better, but our tour guide made up for it by bringing us to so nice places when we wanted to eat something different.

The Best Tour Guide
, Jan 2022
Mohamed Albasha is the best tour guide. His knowledge of ancient Egypt is unmatched. Would recommend to anybody. 10/10. Thanks again, to Mohamed Albasha, and the crew of the ship.
Nile Cruise is one of the things that are must to do in Egypt!
, Jan 2022
Nile Cruise with railway transportation from Cairo. Excellent support from the Viator: despite the total collapse of the railways in the beginning of this year (2022) the tour operator succeed to organize alternative means of transportation to&back the cruise (of course for extra reasonable payments). The programme of the Nile cruise was carefully planned and organize in a manner to give you the opportunity to cover the main notable sights of ancient Egypt up to the maximum for this short time. This could not be happened without the professionalism of the guide - Ismail Haroun (Egyptologist English tour guide) organizing the entire logistics during the cruise and tours, while giving comprehensive explanations presented in understandable way as fairy-tales. The amenities at the ship and services provided was excellent and corresponds to the expectations according to the advertisement. The chefs at the ship give you a possibility to delight in the international and local cuisine, supported by the excellent service of the ship restaurant personnel. Nile Cruise is one of the things that are must to do in Egypt!
3 Night, 4 Day Cruise between Luxor & Aswan
, Jan 2022
The experience overall was very good. The sites visited were a thorough representation of Ancient Egypt. The guide, Ahmed, was great. He was funny, engaging and very knowledgable. He went out of out of his way to customized our experience because we ended up staying an extra day in Aswan, which was very nice. Unfortunately, the cruise itself left a little to be desired. Like most accommodations in Egypt, "5 stars" is used liberally. The internet, water pressure & hot water were all inconsistent. However, the food was pretty good. Another issue we had was confusion around where the cruise started and ended. We confirmed earlier in the week that the cruise would start in Aswan and end in Luxor. We were excited about this because we wanted to spend some additional time in Luxor on back end of the trip. However, the night we departed for the cruise, we were informed that we would be on a cruise that went the opposite direction. In the end, it was okay, because we got to spend some time in Aswan, which we enjoyed. However, I would suggest others not book travel/accommodations to/from either city until you get on the cruise and know which direction you'll be traveling. The last suggestion we have is to book a plane instead of taking the over night train. If you're upgrading to the sleeper car, it'll be the same amount of money (~$75). The sleeper cars are a bit of a misnomer, as we found it very difficult to sleep, due to frequent and abrupt stops.

Terrible tip culture
, Jan 2022
Cruise experience was good but we are totally dissatisfied with the tip culture. Tips are almost mandatory at every step in the itinerary - the guide would embarrass to show appreciation for everyone (horse carriage driver, car driver, hotel reception etc.,). The guide would not care Asians in providing updates about the changes in plans like pickup times as much as he would care the Americans or Europeans. We believe tip is something that should be given when someone has provided a great service but not when someone has done his job which he is supposed to do as per itinerary.

The tour's and ability to...
, Jan 2022
The tour's and ability to see all of the important sites in Egypt was amazing! Our tour guide was very flexible and made sure we fit in our most sought after tomb, Nefertari's in the valley of the Queens. The rooms are nice and clean. The food left something to be desired but for the price, it was as good as you can expect. I would recommend this cruise for someone wanting to travel Egypt on a budget. I would not recommend taking the overnight train as it is extremely hard to sleep on. Comfy seats but tough to sleep. The sleeping train I heard was just as bad.

Great tour to all the important sites. The boat was amazing and especially our guide mister Ramsi as well!
4 days on the Nile
, Nov 2021
PROS: 1.Our guide Ahmed, was very good. 2.The tour in general was good. 3. Overall, we were comfortable. CONS: 1. Tipping everyone throughout the tour amounted to almost 100USD!! And you are told how much to tip. Even though its not compulsory, you get asked for it in front of everyone. Embarrassing if you dont have the money to tip or if you tip less that whats asked. 2.The ship is certainly not 5 star, but it is comfortable. The guy at reception takes your passport on arrival. Not sure why, but we had to ask 4 times before we got it back at 23:00pm. Hope we are not married to someone in Egypt now. haha. 3. No hairdryers on-board. Have to buy water, no free water in your cabin. 4. The horse carriage ride, if you are a pet lover, skip it. The horses are undernourished and over worked. It was absolutely sad to see. The horse we went on was so thin, like most others, we could actually count his ribs. 5. Itinerary was swopped around at the last minute ...literally as we got onto the train. 6. The train is freezing cold....carry a blanket. 7. Literally nobody wears masks, and social distancing in a non- existing term. 8. Everyone tries to help you and talk to you...but they want be careful
