The kayaking and camping trip are...

The kayaking and camping trip are run by two different companies who do not communicate with each other. The kayaking was fine, but as soon as it was finished and still dripping wet, we then had to get into a minibus to drive to the campsite. The campsite was fine, we were given a burger for dinner and then went to bed at 8 as we were told that the sunrise walk would take 6 hours and we would have to get up at 2.40am. The headlamps did not work properly and the last 0.5km of the walk was signposted as being for experienced climbers only. My daughter was left to do the walk alone and the guide did not bother to check whether she had a mobile or enough water. The guide Greg was most unhelpful and the rudest person we met in our whole three weeks in Australia. There was no afternoon tea and no breakfast.

TOUR OPERATOR COMMENT: Please be aware, the Sunrise Climb itself is self-guided. Every participant of the tour has to sign a waiver acknowledging this fact prior to the tour. The parent who attended with their daughter decided to not do the climb and therefore the daughter decided to do the walk together with the other clients on the tour. All clients were briefed that it is a 4-5hrs return walk and of course they were offered breakfast in the morning with the rest of the group before the walk.
