A Superb Introduction to Belo Horizonte

This private tour was an excellent choice to get a superb introduction to Belo Horizonte - it covered the UNESCO World Heritage site known as the Pampulha Modern Ensemble, with architecture by Oscar Niemeyer and landscaping by Roberto Burle Marx, as well as other highlights in BH, including a spectacular city lookout from a place high above the city and a very atmospheric visit to the Mercado Central, which I was not expecting and loved. The tour was really easy to book, KOPA Turismo was very responsive and very punctual and my guide Severin was wonderful, in both his knowledge of BH and Minas Gerais and in his command of the English language. He is also a really nice person. He kindly helped with a booking I had made with another tour operator for another day who he happened to know personally and also found out for me if some of the museums on Praça da Liberdade would be open the next day, which was a holiday. They were and they were all free as well! Couldn't have asked for a better way to set the scene for my short time in BH. Very impressed! Muita Obrigada!
