Our taxi tour with Barry was excellent. If you want to get an understanding of the city, both past and present, this is the place to start. His knowledge of history and the city was vast and we saw so much in a short time. We were never rushed and Barry could not have been more generous with his time, his knowledge and recommendations. We did it our first day and it helped us plan the rest of our time. I highly recommend this tour.

Barry, our guide and driver, is an enthusiastic and learned history buff and he provided us with a very in depth explanation of the history of Ireland, Belfast and the troubles. It was a fascinating two hours that went by very quickly. There are a number of black taxi drivers who will take you to the murals, the peace wall, etc., but Barry goes way beyond this with his explanations and in depth presentations.

Barry our guide was there to meet us on time. He was very knowledgeable and gave a very informative and an unbiased view of Irish and English history before and during the troubles. We visited many areas on both sides of the peace wall. Although I had some knowledge of the troubles it was very good to see the area and talk about this in person. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you.

We started our experience with Barry by mistaking the day we were supposed to be on the tour (completely our fault). Barry was unbelievably accommodating, and we were lucky enough to be able to move our tour to the next day (for a small, extremely reasonable fee).
The tour itself was extremely informative, with all of the historical background from the 17th century onwards, and Barry’s own personal experience made the more recent history really come alive.
We would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

I found the tour guide Barry to be very down to earth and very knowledgeable about the tour which kept Me captivated. Barry was very professional and made me feel very welcome. The tour was highly enjoyable and gave me more of an Insight to how people experienced life in Belfast. Great tour👍👍 travelled up from Dublin for day trip with mam and dad on the train. Barry our tour operator, from the very start was extremely accommodating, friendly and informative. We all enjoyed it. Especially the visit to the Irish museum 👍👍talked about it on the way back to Dublin. I have studied communications and covered the topic of conflict resolution. In my opinion I think this is a tour everyone of different age groups, religious beliefs, ethnicities should go on. I would highly recommend it as a must see 👍👍thank you
